A soft and smooth landing, this is how the landing of the space shuttle Atlantis at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida looked a few minutes ago (16:09).

Shuttle commander Steve Frick and pilot Alan Poindexter steered the shuttle to a smooth landing.

STS-122 crew members began their mission on February 7 and arrived at the space station on February 9. They installed the Columbus Space Laboratory and performed three spacewalks during which they also replaced the nitrogen tank in the ass's cooling system.

The shuttle also brought up a new crew member to the space station, Leopold Eicherts and returned Daniel Tanney who returned to Earth in Atlantis after four months on the space station.
