Space-communication activity in Hungary is currently estimated at about 4 million dollars per year in long-term contracts. In addition to business activity with local clients, there is also fruitful cooperation at the government level, related to the coordination of the frequencies of Amos satellites with the International Telecommunication Organization (ITU).

As part of the launch of the Amos2 activity in Hungary, a state event will take place tonight, 19.5.2004, in Budapest in the presence of the Hungarian Minister of Communications, the Israeli Embassy in Hungary and media and communications personnel in Hungary.

Space-Communications has been active in Hungary since 1996, when it signed an agreement with the state broadcasting company Antena-Hungary, which provides services to TV channels, under which Space-Communications will provide satellite distribution services of TV channels to all cable centers operating with Antenna-Hungary.
Telespecio, Italy's largest satellite services company, which provides broadcast services to TV channels in Hungary from a local broadcast station, has signed an agreement with Space-Communications to distribute TV channels to its cable centers.

David Polak, CEO of Space-Communications, said: "Hungary has a place of honor in Space-Communications as it is the first country where we started operating already with the launch of Amos1. Hungary is more than a fruitful business partner for us, and this is reflected in the support we receive from the government regarding frequency coordination with the International Telecommunication Organization. We hope to continue to deepen our grip on this market."
