Description of the calling voice 

This course was established with the aim of encouraging research and development to find technological solutions in the various fields of space, to strengthen the knowledge and technological development capacity of the Israeli industry in the field of space, and to reduce the knowledge gaps vis-à-vis the world market and to improve the competitiveness of the Israeli industry in these fields, despite the inherent challenges that exist in the field - the risk The significant technological and high development costs, the limited production quantities and the high cost of the systems.

Target Audience

  • For companies that develop products in the space fields intended for installation in satellites or in ground stations used for SHOB and communication needs.
  • For companies that develop instrumentation and equipment for the calibration and testing of products in the space fields intended for installation in satellites or related to their operation.
  • For companies that develop products in the space fields intended for operation in a space environment or for installation in space systems.
  • For companies dealing with data processing and analysis from space.

  • A large company (whose annual turnover is greater than or equal to 100 million dollars in the year preceding the submission of the application) - a grant at the rate of 50% of the approved R&D expenses.
  • A "small" company (whose annual turnover is less than 100 million dollars in the year preceding the submission of the application) - 
    • A grant of 60% if it is an R&D that deals with products and assemblies intended for land. 
    • A grant of 85% if it is an R&D that deals with products and assemblies intended for operation in space.

Application evaluation criteria

  • The product and technology - the degree of technological innovation, the technological depth, uniqueness, technological barriers to competitors, the existence of a cohesive work plan to achieve the goals of the program and the expected achievements at the end of the program.
  • The ability of the applicant - the relevant ability to carry out the program, including the technological capabilities, existing knowledge, the existence of the infrastructure required to carry out R&D, the manpower capabilities required to achieve the objectives of the program and the existence of the required financial resources.
  • Business plan - having a cohesive business model to realize the potential inherent in the product.
  • The local market and the global market - the size of the market and its growth rate, the expected market share for the product in the space sector, the advantages of the product and its price compared to competitors.

The deadline for submission

16.8.2020 until 12:00 noon (the committee is expected to meet at the beginning of November).
