Canada wants to launch its own spacecraft to Mars

Canada, known as a manufacturer of components for the space station (above all, of course, the robotic arm) wants to launch its own unmanned spacecraft to Mars. The Canadian Space Agency announced last week's Amebian program but has not yet chosen the spacecraft, the devices that will be installed on it and the year it will take off, but it intends to invest a lot of money in this. The managers of the Canadian Space Agency said that they would be ready to invest tens of millions of dollars in this spacecraft.
It is estimated that such a spacecraft will be ready for launch in one of the launch windows of 2007 or 2009 (a launch window is a period of several weeks once every 26 months, in which the route to Mars is the shortest). In the meantime, Canada will be content with installing instruments on board a Japanese spacecraft that will attack Mars in 2004.
