A special workshop dedicated to space issues will be opened at the beginning of September to encourage young people to get involved in the field of space.
The workshop is being held in Israel, within the framework of the "Pathway" forum, which is a national forum for students and young people, operating next to the Association for Aerospace Sciences in Israel, to promote the fields of space and to integrate the future generation in work and research on these issues. "Path" has been operating for 4 years, and has 300 young people from various faculties and academic institutions.

The workshop is intended for young people aged 18-30, and there will be work and discussion groups, in which the participants will offer their ideas and vision for the integration of space in daily life in Israel. Educational tours will also be conducted in factories dealing in the field of space technologies.
Unlike a lecture or a conference, in a workshop each student will take an active part and be able to have a direct influence. The goals of the workshop are simple: on the one hand, the workshop offers a unique opportunity for students to get to know space exploration in Israel closely and to make an impact, on the other hand, we hope that the workshop will increase awareness of space exploration in Israel. The space exploration workshop is organized by Path, a student forum for the promotion of space exploration in Israel. The workshop will be held at the Technion, Haifa and will last three days, between the fourth and the sixth of September.

the working groups
The workshop will have four different working groups, each containing between six and eight students. Each working group reviews a different field so that everyone can find a topic that interests them. During the workshop, the working groups will prepare a presentation on their topic as well as write a summary of their work for the final report of the space exploration workshop.

The working groups:
• The space industry in Israel - where to?
• Israel and the vision for exploring the moon and Mars
• Space and community in Israel
• Promotion of regional cooperation with the help of space

At the end of the workshop, each group will present their presentation in a lecture that will be open to the general public. In addition, we are planning a collaboration with the International Space Conference that will be held this year in Japan and hopefully one of the participants will be sent there as a track representative. Before the workshop, each of the participants will receive background material from the supervisor of the work group he is a member of.
At the end of the workshop, an Israeli representative will be chosen, who will take part in the international workshop that will be held in Japan in October of this year, within the framework of the Space Generation Council, a voluntary international body that operates in many countries alongside the UN institutions.
The deadline for registration for the space exploration workshop is August 24.
