Contact with the Briton who came alone to the North Pole was cut off

Penn Dou, the Briton who reached the North Pole alone - is missing. The 41-year-old couple arrived at the pole on Monday after a 770 km journey and made contact from there via satellite phone and announced that they had reached their destination. However, the battery on the phone ran out and the aid workers were unable to contact him. Yesterday, two planes were sent to the polar region to try and collect the duo but they had to return due to poor visibility and because they did not have enough fuel. The forecasters say that bad weather is expected in the Arctic region in the coming days and this will make it difficult to rescue him. The aid tally says India has enough food to survive in the field until Wednesday. In his last phone call with the "Times" newspaper that accompanied the trip, the duo said that he felt lonely and isolated.
