Is it possible that this is the last common ancestor of humans and the great apes?

Scientists have uncovered the remains of a primate that may have been the ancestor not only of humans but of all great apes, including chimpanzees and gorillas.
The partial skeleton of the 'missing link' was found by paleontologists working at an excavation site near Barcelona in Spain.
Details of the sensational discovery appeared in the scientific journal Science.
The new find is of a male, fruit eater whose height was slightly shorter than that of a chimpanzee, the researchers say. The paleontologists had just begun the excavations when the teeth of the bulldozer ran into something. Further investigation of the area showed an almost complete skeleton of an ape from the Miocene period (from 22 million to 5.5 million years ago).
