If you've ever wondered why your dog barks at the moon or the postman, the answer may be just a click away.

A Japanese toy manufacturer claims to have developed a device that translates dogs' barks into human language. He intends to start marketing his invention this summer in pet stores and gift shops in the United States.

The Japanese company from Tokyo, "Takara", said that it has already sold 300 such translation devices to dog owners since the device was released to the markets in Japan a few months ago. The company expects a sharp jump in sales starting in August, when the English language version goes on the market in the United States. There are about 67 million dogs in the United States, about 6 times the number of dogs in Japan.
It is an eight-centimeter-long microphone that is attached to a collar and transmits sounds to a tiny control panel, which is linked to a database. The control panel detects each bark and sorts it into one of six categories: joy, sadness, frustration, anger, determination and passion. After the "diagnosis", the device displays sentences appropriate to the dog's mood, such as: "You annoy me".

  1. You idiots!!!
Every dog has its own character. His owner who knows him and loves him doesn't need a translation... lol... He knows his blind and beloved animal like a father knows his beloved baby in years he doesn't know how to communicate in the language he invented...
And it can be seen that in nature the language between a father and his son is also different from the food of the father to his neighbor's son. 🙂
So enough with spreading this stupidity

  2. The word "translator" distorts the meaning. Dogs, like other animals, have a sign language (voices or body movements) with which the animals convey messages such as: "I'm upset" or "I'm afraid" or "I'm surprised and feel threatened" or "I like you". A large part of the sign language of dogs is familiar to those who know the dogs (but not familiar to everyone else). There are not many words in the sign language of dogs and it is probably possible to recognize all of them (or the most important ones). The invention should give an explanation to all those who do not know the sign language of dogs.

  5. A more effective invention would be a device that translates Japanese into barking dogs, so we would have a chance to understand what the Japanese want.
