The spacecraft, "Genesis", began its journey back to Earth, after more than three years of research in space. In order to return to Earth, the spacecraft conducted a maneuver to correct the navigation, on Monday, the twelfth of August. This maneuver puts the Earth back on track.
"Genesis" engaged in its research in collecting solar wind particles on the surface of wafers (WAFERS) made of pure gold, sapphire, silicon and diamond. The spacecraft was launched on August 2001, 3.2, towards the sun. On September XNUMX, the spacecraft will send a capsule into the Earth's atmosphere, which will be captured and brought to the ground by special helicopter pilots, who have been specifically trained for the aforementioned mission. This capsule will be collected while in the air for fear that its landing on the ground could damage the significant findings inside. The particles she collected, and which were housed in the same capsule, will be processed and analyzed in NASA laboratories. This research should shed light on the composition of the sun and the origin of our entire solar system.
