Prof. Aryeh Tsavan, scientist and entrepreneur in the field of renewable energy, was unanimously elected to continue serving as president of Bar-Ilan University for four more years
The Board of Trustees of Bar-Ilan University unanimously elected the continuation of Prof. Tsavan's term as the university's president. Prof. Tsavan is a former fighter pilot in the Air Force and a chemist by training who is behind several start-up companies in the field of renewable energy. Recently, Pinergy, based on technology developed by Tsavan, was successfully issued on the stock exchange. The company develops metal-air technology that enables the production of electricity from a combination of oxygen from the free air with aluminum and zinc - for backup at critical sites, extending the travel range of electric vehicles and energy storage.
