Four more years: the president of Bar-Ilan University was elected for another term

Prof. Aryeh Tsavan, scientist and entrepreneur in the field of renewable energy, was unanimously elected to continue serving as president of Bar-Ilan University for four more years

The Board of Trustees of Bar-Ilan University unanimously elected the continuation of Prof. Tsavan's term as the university's president. The chairman of the university's standing committee, CPA Shlomo Zahar He announced the selection in a letter distributed to the entire Bar-Ilan community: "The momentum of growth and development of the university is evident at all levels: in advanced teaching and research output, in the public discourse, in creating resonance for our academic and public work, in the impressive increase in the number of enrolled students, and this with the aim of maintaining academic quality and establishing its position of Bar-Ilan University in Israel and around the world. In light of these achievements, the members of the Board of Trustees expressed their trust in Prof. Tsavan and unanimously elected him to continue serving as president of Bar-Ilan University for four more years. With deep appreciation, I would like to congratulate the president, Prof. Aryeh Tsavan on the appointment, and wish all of us, the members of the academy, the administration and the friends of the university, continued effective and fruitful joint work, in the spirit of our vision: "Influencing tomorrow, today".

The President of Bar-Ilan University, Prof. Tsavan thanked his fellow travelers and said: "I would like to thank you - the men and women of the academic and administrative staff, researchers, lecturers, student workers and student workers. Prof. Tsavan is a former fighter pilot in the Air Force and a chemist by training who is behind several start-up companies in the field of renewable energy. Recently, Pinergy, based on technology developed by Tsavan, was successfully issued on the stock exchange. The company develops metal-air technology that enables the production of electricity from a combination of oxygen from the free air with aluminum and zinc - for backup at critical sites, extending the travel range of electric vehicles and energy storage.
