Assaf Rosenthal/ The thing

With global warming, the outbreak of the disease may also return

Dr. Assaf Rosenthal

We have all heard, read and been impressed by the plagues throughout human history. The plague, which probably originated in Central Asia, struck intermittently while killing millions of people, the most well-known event being the plague in Europe in the 14th century, which killed about 35 million people, which was about a third of the inhabitants of Europe at that time, and some think that since then every generation has been affected, when the damage is getting smaller - because of measures Hygiene and care. According to the World Health Organization, even nowadays, about 5000 desert people die every year.

The disease is caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis which is spread by the bite of a louse. The known and accepted subjects for louse are rats, but it turns out that birds are a suitable "habitat" for louse and therefore they too can transmit the plague around the world, the birds transmit the louse and "infect" it with rats And these penetrate into a human environment and the continuation is clear.
Today it is possible to treat with antibiotics and save those who contract the disease, provided that the treatment is given early / upon detection of the disease, therefore most of the victims. The dead from the epidemic these days are residents of the "Third World", of course then why am I suddenly referring to an epidemic that actually no longer poses a risk. It turns out that the appearance of this over the generations is related to the climate conditions in a test done by the World Health Organization, and the results were given to the conference attendees of the "Academy of Sciences" in Norway by Professor Nils Stenseth.
It turns out that the onset of the epidemic parallels periods of hot and humid climate. The test was done in Kazakhstan and showed the direct connection, a connection that was not clear until today, since the researchers did not know how a hot climate affects the interaction between the bacteria and the surrogate louse, and the subjects of the louse (rats and chickens), since high temperature ( very) harms rats and therefore also the louse, but temperate/warm climate conditions and in various humid regions which the researchers observe are the favorable conditions for the development of the bacteria, the louse and the louse carriers, mainly rats but as said also birds - wild fowls and domestic fowls
And since unlike the bird flu which also kills its carriers - the birds, it does not harm the louse carriers, neither wild birds nor domestic fowls, its spread is more difficult to detect and therefore despite the modern means of cure, it becomes a real danger. And you have another risk / trouble brought to us by global warming.
