Dr. Berry decided to donate the prize money in full to the "Shiva-Tel Hashomer" medical center, for the purpose of promoting clinical research in data science and artificial intelligence in the field of gynecologic-oncology. The research, led by Dr. Yaakov Korah, will pool data from clinical studies and through machine learning technologies will allow doctors to improve patient care and achieve a breakthrough in digital innovation in the field of gynecology-oncology. Dr. Korah is a clinical faculty member at the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine and serves as the head of the Gynecology-Oncology Department at the "Shiva-Tel Hashomer" Medical Center.
Dr. Erna Berry shared the considerations that led to her unique and exciting decision: "Informatics of the healthcare system should be at the top of the government's order of priorities, as a key to accelerating growth in the economy.
