In her research, Park also follows those who operated outside of the established medical system, and the lives and deaths of women in whom the first surgeries were performed on humans. The award is given to her for her extraordinary contribution and groundbreaking discoveries in the study of the history of the female body and the treatment of women, which revealed the influence of gender concepts on medical treatments, for the revival of medical research during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, and for being a world-renowned historian who is a source of inspiration for historians and researchers of sex and gender.

Prof. Keith Vailo

His research over the years has led to new discoveries about medical experiences and medical treatment of those suffering from chronic pain who come from different ethnic backgrounds, and to changes in social perception regarding medical treatment. In addition, Vailo worked extensively to influence the formulation of an egalitarian medical public policy on many issues - from the opioid crisis to the corona crisis. The award is given to him for his extraordinary work in researching the history of race and ethnicity and their impact on public health, for his groundbreaking research approach that examines the history of medicine from a broad perspective that includes a variety of ethnic groups, and not just the white person's perspective, and for combining research A historic breakthrough and contemporary issues including the Corona epidemic.

Prof. Alison Bashford, a historian who studies the global dimensions of contemporary health and medicine, and directs the Earth History Research Program at the University of New South Wales in Australia. In her work, Bashford connects the history of science and the environment from the 18th to the 20th century, and the modern world. The award is given to her for extensive historical research, which demonstrates the global connection of medicine and public health and draws attention to developing countries; Ashford was among the first researchers to expand the study of medical history beyond the Western world, to remote areas that had not been studied before and was one of the few who dealt with the effects of closures and closing borders following medical emergencies even before the outbreak of the Corona epidemic. For the past year, Bashford has been working to promote collaborations between anthropologists and sociologists from around the world, in order to create an in-depth understanding of how different countries are dealing with the Corona epidemic.
