The Nobel Prize in Physics awarded today to Prof. Giorgio Parisi is just a small number of the names of Nobel Prize winners over the years, who previously won the prestigious Wolf Prize, of the Wolf Foundation.

Prof. Giorgio Parisi from the University of Rome-Spienza, the recent winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics for 2021, won the Wolf Prize this year for his groundbreaking discoveries in disordered systems, particle physics and statistical physics. Prof. Parisi's winning the Nobel Prize joins the two winners of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Prof. Jennifer Daudna and Prof. Emmanuel Charpentier who won the Wolff Prize in the same year, and the winner of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics, Prof. Roger Penrose, who won the Wolff Prize Already in 1988, together with his student Stephen Hawking.

The current winning of the Nobel Prize, here is only a small part of many past winners, who won the Wolf Prize before, such as Prof. Mayor and Prof. Cavaloz (who won the Wolf Prize in 2017 and the Nobel Prize in 2019) and Prof. Allison (who won the Wolf Prize in 2017 and in 2018 with the Nobel Prize).

Reot Yanon - Berman, CEO of the Wolf Foundation: "We congratulate Prof. Giorgio Parizzi on winning the Nobel Prize in Physics. Prof. Parizzi is one of the researchers, the individuals of virtue, who make human society and the world we live in a better place to live in. Wolf Foundation is an Israeli state foundation whose goal is to promote excellence in science and art.

Every year, the President of the State of Israel grants on behalf of the foundation the Wolf Prize The prestigious - an international award given to scientists and artists from around the world, for achievements "for the advancement of science and art for the sake of humanity and for friendly relations between peoples, without differences of religion, gender, race, geographical location or political position". As I recall, last year's winners too - Emmanuel Charpentier and Jennifer Daunda, They won a total of half a year earlier in the Wolf Prize.

The prizes awarded in the scientific field are in the subjects of medicine, agriculture, mathematics, chemistry, and physics, in the fields of art the prize is awarded in the subjects of painting and sculpture, music and architecture. The Wolf Foundation was founded in 1975 by the late Dr. Ricardo Wolf, an inventor, diplomat and philanthropist, and his wife, who donated their wealth to establish the foundation, which they founded together with former President Ephraim Katzir and Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
