A small story + moral

The conservationists in England have a lot of power that allows them to carry out extensive activities to protect species that are in danger of extinction. About ten years ago, a detour to a main road was going to be paved. The bypass was supposed to be paved in a marshy area where a land snail lives that is considered an "endangered species". The Greens demonstrated, tied themselves to trees, dug tunnels and other actions to prevent the construction of the road, at the same time a legal hearing was held in which it was decided to move the snail population to a nearby area where they would create artificial conditions similar to the habitat they came from. The snail population was relocated, pipes flowed water to simulate the swamp from which they came, and the bypass was paved.
Now, after ten years, it turns out that... there are no snails in the replacement area... when the main reason for their disappearance is: the water pipes were blocked by silt and the area that was supposed to resemble a swamp... was dry, these snails do not survive in dryness and therefore... they are not.

This little story came to my mind when I saw the distinguished professor's proposals for the "water distribution solution in Ein-Gadi". According to the publications, the professor suggested "collecting water from the streams and flowing it into a kind of Ein-Gadi". It is not clear what is meant by "collecting water from the streams", is it meant to flow the waters of Nahal David and its beds, after all they are part of the reserve and some of the water is used (the kibbutz, BIS-Sheda, hostel). Or maybe it is meant for seasonal floods? Who is willing to blame Will they love a flood that will come or not?

Either way, the professor's proposal to compress water in pipes, up the slope to the spring, this is to enable the utilization of the spring water... Really genius! Apart from the "genius" in the proposal, there is of course the constant risk/chance that the water in the pipes will not flow!
The question arises whether the "authority" and other green bodies and even Kibbutz Ein-Gadi are willing to be partners in an adventure that could bring Ma'in Ein-Gadi to the situation of the snail? ? ?
