  1. Danny, according to Meir Shalev, was not blessed by politicians, because they competed on Rosh Hashanah.

  2. Danny, his Meir blessed them in his weekly column, not before throwing up his regular dose of Binyamin Netanyahu.

  3. To Danny, several years ago when my child was one of the participants and the Minister of Education was Naftali Bennett, at the end of the year the Minister of Education gathered all the children from all the Olympics and thanked them.
It may happen this year as well with the current Minister of Education.
You are right that the topic should be more publicized.

  4. I also wondered how so many medals yielded only 21st place.
So I entered the competition website, and although I couldn't find the regulations, it seems that ("it's easy to see that"...) unlike the "regular" Olympics, medals do not mean 1 of the first 3 places.

There are about 50 gold medals, about 100 silver medals, about 150 bronze medals, and about 150 silver medals. And in total about 600 participants in the competition. Meaning, about 3/4 of the participants win some kind of medal/salsah.

What determines the ranking of the countries is the exercise scores of the participants. You can see the table here:
    http://www.imo-official.org/year_country_r.aspx?year=2020

  5. Did the Prime Minister bless them?
Did the Minister of Education call them?
Has anyone from this inflated and vacuumed government blessed them?
