The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, MK Ofir Akunis, decided to return the budgeting of the Genesis 2 project in the amount of 20 million shekels, as he promised at the end of his previous term in office.
Minister Akunis met with Kfir Demari, one of the initiators of the Bereshit project, and at the meeting Demari presented the Bereshit 2 plan to the minister.
Minister Akunis said: "Unfortunately, despite the fact that I informed the government at the end of my previous term in the ministry about the doubling of the budget for the Genesis 2 project to approximately NIS 20 million, this has not yet come to fruition."

"I have decided that in the 2023 budget the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology under my leadership will budget for the unique project that is full of Israeli pride."
