The board of directors of the aerospace industry headed by Dov Baharav chose VP Yossi Weiss for the position of CEO of the company. Yossi Weiss will replace Yitzhak Nissan, who is ending his position as CEO of the Aerospace Industry. The appointment requires the approval of the Ministers of Defense and Finance.

Yossi Weiss has served for the past 6 years as VP and manager of the Missile and Space Systems Division. As part of his position, Weiss managed large-scale systems that included mega-projects such as the integration of multidisciplinary systems: multi-layered defense and attack systems, network warfare and control systems; Naval, land and air missiles, sensors and homing warheads of all types, naval and land weapon systems, innovative attack UAV systems, weapon systems
Short-range and long-range anti-aircraft, communication channels, launch systems and SHOB systems; Space systems including communication satellites, optical observation and radar observation, ground and airborne satellites, satellite ground stations, microsatellites.

Weiss was also involved in the marketing of super systems in Israel and around the world and, in addition, initiated and led collaborations with companies in the business areas of the aerospace industry.

Prior to joining the Israeli Aerospace Industries, Yossi Weis served 27 years in Haifa and in his last position as lieutenant colonel, he was responsible for all activities for the development and equipping of the first "Dolphin" submarines and their reception in Haifa, and conducted negotiations with manufacturers of combat systems in Israel and abroad to the extent of hundreds of millions of dollars .

Yossi Weiss holds a B.Sc degree in mechanical engineering from the Technion in Haifa (with honors), completed a master's degree in mechanical engineering at the Technion in Haifa and holds an MBA (specialization in marketing) from Tel Aviv University.

    The man comes from the fields of high-tech and in TEA there are divisions that deal with production and service (production of parts using technologies such as machining, structure, etc.) I wonder how he will treat them and appreciate their contribution as independent supporting divisions

    It must be remembered that the TAA was founded so that we would not be dependent on the mercy of other countries in the world and therefore these capabilities must be preserved for difficult times, beyond that thousands of workers earn a decent living in these divisions.
