Let them prove that the soup is not poisoned!
--------
Yussuf K'Lea, Vice President of Indonesia, suing the kitchens - survived to prove that... their soup is not poisoned. The Indonesian No. 2, was apparently a victim of attempted arsenic poisoning, a drug that was added to his favorite lentil soup. Fortunately for K'Lea, a strange aroma rose from the plate which led to an examination during which a small amount of deadly poison was discovered. Now the senior politician demands that... the Sharad cooks taste their dishes at the very "last stage" before the delicacies go on the dining and hospitality table. The police cleared of suspicion the cooks who were initially mentioned as having been behind the poisoning attempt. A senior officer said "about other lines of inquiry leading outside the palace" and promised to "get to the bottom of the story." The purge of the cooks did not calm the frightened vice president, who says that if his cooks refuse to taste what they cooked, before the meal is sent from the kitchen, the security guards, members of the Indonesian Security Service, will have to taste every item - menu or drink.

Bhutan: general smoking ban
----------
The king of the Himalayan country under the auspices of India decided "if smoking is prohibited - then in every corner!. His Majesty, Zhang Singnaya Wangzuk, who is the sole ruler, ordered the banning of all tobacco trade, tobacco cultivation and ordered the confiscation of tobacco products found in tourist vessels, or those returning from abroad. The blanket ban, which is the first of its kind in the world, did not astound the population who anyway see the young king as a tyrant to whom nothing will fall. Bhutan manages all its affairs, with the exception of foreign policy, an area that is "under Indian control". Now the king and his advisers are considering ways to enforce the law and... a series of punishment proposals, from fines to actual imprisonment. The World Health Organization hastened to bless the king and called on other countries of the world, democracies and tyrannical governments alike, to imitate the extreme ban. In the meantime, the kingdom was attacked by Indian merchants who rushed to purchase cigarettes and tobacco from their Bhutanese counterparts, which are sold for pennies and "recycled" in India.

550 dead and the clock is still ticking...
------------
The Thai police announced that during 2004, 550 people were killed in religious riots, victims who were killed in the predominantly Muslim Yallah district.
Most of the dead are victims of terrorist attacks of all kinds, starting with car bombs and ending with "exploding martyrs". Muslim separatists, aided by extremists operating from Malaysia, the southern neighbor of the Thai kingdom, are waging a terrorist war demanding to withdraw from Thailand and establish a Muslim state according to Sharia law. The separatists attack military and police personnel, officials, judges and Buddhist monks. In several cases, the victims of terrorism were killed. An underground leaflet, which was distributed at the beginning of November, defined the murders in Arifa as "sympathy with our brothers in Iraq". The police arrested four Muslim teachers who are accused of planning and encouraging the wave of terrorism and riots. An arrest warrant was issued for a fifth teacher, who apparently fled to Malaysia. The district police chief made sure to warn "until the first of January 2005, the list of the dead is open and will probably expand further..."

If not the shark then... father
----------
A worried Australian father, who heard from his equally worried wife that their 17-year-old son had gone surfing, tried to call the boy, who loves waves, by cell phone, to warn him not to surf for fear that the beach is infested with great white sharks. The boy did not respond because he was busy. Surfing and already "riding a wave" while the cell phone and its other belongings are on the beach. The father hastened to go to the surfing site, which during the last month has known two cases of cannibalism, victims who were chewed in the jaws of great white sharks. After the father made sure "that the child is safe" he lay in wait for his loins with a belt in his hand ready to whip. The shocked surfer did not have time to escape and return to the depths of the sea before the angry father, who has been warning against surfing for days, for fear of sharks, began to whip while shouting reproaches. The boy's friends and passers-by called a policeman and thus "calmed" the father, a criminal case was opened against him for misdemeanor assault. The events that worried the whipping father began when, in early December, an amateur angler was eaten while standing in shallow water. A fish about six meters long attacked the ringer and fled the scene with one of the fisherman's legs in his mouth, who died of shock and loss of blood. In the second case, two sharks attacked a young man who was surfing a big wave. The cooperation between the fish, which are at the top of the marine food chain, was done in front of the young man's friends and others who saw how the lead shark cut the young man in two and disappeared with the victim's upper body followed by his partner, the wave segment, which was satisfied with the young man's legs "only". In the meantime, an extermination order was issued against the sharks, which are protected animals. It is not clear how the nature inspectors will be able to identify the murderous sharks?... But the Australian public, who is expecting more shark attacks, demands that at least three sharks be killed following the disasters.

It is allowed to have sex with a doll from Europe
---------------
An elderly Chadian tour guide, a resident of one of the villages near the Libyan border, was caught "in the act" when he... had sex with an inflatable doll. The man in question was discovered in the middle of the "act" by women returning from a market event. The doll, made in China, is mainly distributed in Germany, where it is sold as a "practical porn hit". The elderly Chadian, who was beaten to the point of bleeding by many who heard about the "wrong way" was taken (without respect) to the local mosque, where the "doll that has everything" was presented .
Eyewitnesses described what exactly the lover and the doll did. The resulting religious priests ordered to "remove the doll to the courtyard" where they checked again and again the product that was emptied and filled with air from an inflator. The clergy finally ordered to "burn the abomination" and decided that the shame, the beatings and the elimination of the plastic lady were enough to teach a good lesson and exempted the lover from further punishment because a thorough examination found that the golden-haired blue-eyed mistress was not, God forbid, an African Muslim... . The doll was sold to her temporary husband by German tourists who participated in a desert jeep tour. At the end of the trip, before returning home, the Germans sold... objects for short-term use and that's how the product arrived in the arms of the elderly man who fell in love with it at first sight.
