On the coming Saturdays, during the months of January and February 2015, visitors to the Keller Science Garden, which operates as part of the Davidson Institute of Science, the educational arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, will enjoy activities on the "hot" topic of the season - temperatures. In our day-to-day life, we constantly come across temperature differences - the home heating, the air conditioning, the refrigerator, and unfortunately also a high temperature that indicates illness. To understand, learn and enjoy the subject, visitors will experience guided tours, workshops, sessions and scientific demonstrations adapted to a variety of ages.

During the "Cold Dog" workshop, visitors will learn about a unique material at a very low temperature, which produces foam in an instant, puts out a fire in the blink of an eye, and can even be used to inflate balloons, without any effort.
In the science garden's auditorium, visitors will be able to watch demonstrations illustrating the difference between heat and temperature, learn about the hottest and coldest places in the universe and witness spectacular phenomena observed when certain substances reach extremely low temperatures.

As every winter, in the fun labs the activity "hot, warm" will be carried out through which the visitors will get to know different ways of transferring heat with illustrations, explanations, the connection to phenomena from everyday life and personal experience.

In the Ecosphere - the ecological complex of the Science Garden, a huge dome under controlled conditions that contains unique plants and animals from around the world - instruction will be given on warm and cold blood and ways of dealing with different creatures with temperature changes.

And of course, there will be guided tours of more than 80 of the Science Garden's permanent exhibits and fascinating tutorials in the exhibition "Activate Your Brain" presented in the gallery, a unique exhibition about the amazing organ in our body, the fruit of the Science Garden's creator.
