The Emirates Mars Mission (EMM) is expected to launch the Hope spacecraft in July 2020 for a seven-month journey to the Red Planet. The national space program of the United Arab Emirates also includes an array for training astronauts. "Our national space program is a strong platform for training a reserve of experts in the aviation and space sciences, so that future generations can contribute to the knowledge of humanity," said Mohammed bin Rashid. "We intend to send the first Emirati astronaut into space in the coming years, and already today we are preparing the first Emirati and Arab astronaut to join the scientists on the International Space Station."

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said that "the space program of the United Arab Emirates is a message to the Arab world that our citizens are capable of competing on a global level. Our goal is to show the world that we can contribute to humanity through quality knowledge and scientific discoveries," he said.

  1. Even in India and China, the exit from poverty and burnout is done in layers of sausage. In India today about 400 million people belong to the middle class and India today has weight in international science. I was recently at the IEEE Engineering 2016 conference in Israel in November, and there was a professor from India there, and he didn't talk nonsense at all. There are another billion poor Indians. There is also a middle class in China, and there are about one billion and 200 million Chinese on the rise - it is allowed to have 2 children.
Even in the Muslim countries it can be expected that the emergence of the thin layer to enlightenment will bring out the other layers. But radical Islam also operates there.
We have the opposite process going on. The share of the ultra-orthodox and religious community in the population is increasing, and some of the rabbis are making great efforts to keep the woman at home and keep her busy so that she doesn't think about the possibility of innovation: ten children, and incessant brainwashing about women's duties, and anti-army, and the prohibition of women studying Torah, and certainly not rulings of Halachot, and anti-internet , and marriage at a young age to a yeshiva student, and no television. It is not so different from Islam. I think the battle is lost for them, but maybe I'm wrong and it's lost for the Enlightenment.

  2. The United Arab Emirates is a leader in world trade, bringing brilliant minds to the Gulf, even if it is a country that may contribute to terrorism, and also most of its residents are workers and not citizens. The leading technology conferences in the Middle East happen there.

  3. Examining the amount of articles and books and their scope gives a clear picture in my opinion. Science in Israel in relation to science in the world and Arab science, generally goes backwards. Last night the Technion was announced among the top 10 in the Nobel ranking. It's an investment from the 70s and 80s.
In the Shanghai ranking, we went backwards. This is not only due to the decline in the value of the universities, but the rise of science in the very thin layer in relation to the population, but also per mille from a lot is a lot. These are Muslim scientists in Western countries - don't get confused. They collaborate with Jewish and Israeli scientists.
