The eddy generator was developed inspired by the trout's ability to remain stable in river currents. Water flowing through the fish's mouth takes on an eddy shape as it passes through the gills on its way back to the current. This movement allows the fish to remain stable even in strong currents.
The water treatment systems developed and manufactured by Waterco are based on the vortex effect, and include solutions that are both energy efficient and cheap. The system causes the water to swirl rapidly in narrow, spiral passages, and as a result polluting factors, or air bubbles (depending on the application), are forced to move towards a column in the center of the vortex. At the end of the process, a vacuum quickly sucks up this column of pollutants, leaving only desirable components in the water.
This system can provide solutions to a wide range of challenges such as: inefficient ice production and ice preservation, scale accumulation in water transportation systems, inefficient water filtration and purification, use of chemicals and detergents to clean pipes, and poor water quality supplied to agricultural crops.
The vortex based system uses no moving parts and is energy efficient.
