The sign for quality, excellence and leadership named after Ilan and Assaf Ramon was awarded yesterday (Wednesday) to 15 outstanding teenagers from all over the country. The "Ot Ramon" leadership program of the Ministry of Science and the Ramon Foundation is intended for outstanding 300th grade students who have demonstrated leadership ability and made an extraordinary contribution to society and the community in light of the legacy of Ilan and Asaf Ramon. The students were selected for the program after a selection process from all over Israel out of over XNUMX students. The award is awarded annually to outstanding students with the aim of encouraging students with high academic potential and creating a culture of excellence among youth in Israel. The students in the project are selected based on their academic achievements, their social and voluntary activities at school and in the community, and their quality personality.

Winners:

Noa Steiner - Sciences and Arts for Yitzhak Rabin, Nahariya. Noa is active in the youth movement Wings of Karambo, in which she coordinates the Nahariya branch. As part of her role, she manages the leading team of the branch, maintaining contact with many external parties and implementing the annual work plan. Noa was one of the founders of the branch, and she led this process without the support of a graduate coordinator in the branch. Noa has been a member of the Nahariya Youth Council for three years, coordinating and leading many projects such as Arab recruits, volunteering with populations with special needs, remembrance in the living room, and more. In addition, Noa is active in the school's student council and has led projects at the school.

Eyal Rashef - Shimon Ben Zvi High School, Givatayim. Eil is active in the school's student council and leads activities within it. In addition, he is active in two youth movements, the scouts movement and Karambo's wings. As part of the scouts, Eyal is a XNUMXth level instructor in the tribe and is in charge of safety. In Crambo's wings, a ram acts as a tutor for a student in the first grade. In the last year, Eyal developed a social application that will help seniors deal with household chores and minor repairs, shopping and assistance in obtaining daily help. In addition, Eyal participated in the Boy Scouts Association course, which combines youth from all races in Israel (Druze, Circassian, Muslim, Christian and Jewish). Eyal is studying for a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and physics at Bar Ilan University.

Navot Dvir Mordechai - The Green Village, Kfar Saba. Dvir is an entrepreneur and CEO of a start-up company that has developed a system that knows how to detect and prevent drivers from falling asleep while driving. Dvir participated in the science and technology competition of Beijing University and won second place, and was the first student in the world to win a Chinese industry award (which until that moment was given to the Chinese). Dvir volunteers as a mentor for over 100 students within the technological academy of the Green Village. Thanks to Dvir's mentoring, this year about five groups from the village managed to win the science and technology competition in Beijing. In addition, Dvir serves as the director of a start-up company on behalf of the Ministry of Education and is a member of its youth advisory forum. In addition, Dvir is active in the student council and is voluntarily responsible for the general feedback mechanism for the village and manages the relationship with the parents. Dvir donated to the students of the computer science major and gave them private lessons on a voluntary basis. Dvir went on a delegation to Germany as part of a youth exchange and helps delegations preparing for competitions abroad.

Yahal Ketubim - the interdisciplinary rabbi for sciences and arts, Hadera. Yahal trained in the third year in the entrepreneurship project of the Amal network and the Unistream association, which aims to provide tools for the world of entrepreneurship and business to youth from the periphery and promote them to success. Yahal has been serving as CEO of a company for the past two and a half years. The project she leads, TEENCH, is designed to make a revolution that will result in a significant reduction in the current average price of a private lesson. This year Yahal serves as a member of the board of the starcup championship and represents the city she lives in. The role of the board of directors is to make the voice of the participants in the competition known to the managers and to expose many boys to the competition and to assist them in developing ventures. In addition, Yahal participated in a panel called "Thinking a new path - high-tech people and education for gender equality in technological trends". Yahal as the representative of female students from all over the country as a student studying two technological subjects with the aim of encouraging ninth grade female students to choose these subjects and to help educators find a solution to the existing situation.

Noa Miller LeBarn - Keshet Democratic High School, Zichron Ya'akov . Noa is active in a number of central committees at the school: a teachers' committee in which she is responsible for screening and accepting new staff members and handling complaints about teachers, a director's identification and support committee in which she is responsible for mapping school needs, locating, screening and accepting the position of school director. Noa was chosen to take part in the "high school leading team", a team of students involved in school decision-making, for the second year in a row. Noa was the main leader of the "Different September" project in which a unique system existed at the school. The students, led by Noa, built during the summer a unique system for this month that emphasized social activity, deeper acquaintance and learning that broadens horizons. In addition, Noa initiated a project in the community to collect food for refugees and place volunteers in the refugee garden in south Tel Aviv.

Naama El Al - Ort, Kiryat Bialik. A student in the Nachshon class and a member of the student council. Naama participates in the "Future Engineers" project. In addition, she participated in many projects that encourage female empowerment, leadership and contribution to the community, among them: Jubilee Project, Marching Forward and more. In addition, she participated in a technology hackathon where she was part of a group that came up with a technological invention that would improve the quality of life of the deaf, an invention that won first place in a national competition and earned the members of the group support for its development. Naama participated in the "Singing with Love" project, a band that was established for non-profit purposes and the proceeds from the performances are a donation to a wish. Serves as a Rashgadit in the Scouts and was chosen to receive the mayor's outstanding certificate due to her academic achievements.

Shahar Peretz - Democratic Hadera, Kfar Yona. Shahar takes part in the day-to-day management of the school through its committees. This year, she is a member of the school's parliament team and leads the debates in the committee. In the past, she was a member and chairman of a teachers' committee whose role was to recruit staff for the school, evaluate teachers and handle complaints. Shahar initiated and led various projects at the school: created and produced an Israeli-democratic school campaign, led the reform school in the process of teaching for the matriculation certificate, led meetings with Arab students and refugee children and produced Arab dance and art exhibitions. In addition, Shahar is an instructor in the Tartu youth movement, which deals with making art accessible to children in the peripheral settlements. Shahar guides a group of children in grades XNUMX-XNUMX in the city of Netanya. In addition, Shahar is active in meetings and summer camps of the Israeli-Palestinian Bereaved Families Forum for Peace, Reconciliation and Tolerance. In addition, three years ago Shahar turned to the Friendship Foundation and since then she meets with an elderly woman in the city of Hadera once every two weeks.

Carmel Barak - Shimon Ben Zvi High School, Givatayim. Carmel is active in the "Wings of Karambo" movement in which he guided a group and this year serves as a mentor. In addition, he is active in the scout movement and serves as a Rashad. Carmel established a project in collaboration with a hostel for those with special needs as part of the scout movement. As part of the project, once a week five members of the senior class come to the hostel and convey to the residents an activity they built. Carmel led an accessibility day at the school to expose the school's students to those with special needs and the concept of accessibility.

Maya Kahuri - a comprehensive named after Alberoni, Jedidah-Macher - Maya is active in the Gaddeida-Machar community in a number of social projects, among which her involvement in the "Leaders of Peace" project stands out. Maya also volunteers with the elderly, taking part in volunteering at the community church and elementary schools in Kfar. In addition to these, Maya takes part in organizing various events at her school and even serves as the captain of the school basketball team.

Omer Azran - Makif XNUMX, Ashdod- Omer is active in the Moshetz movement where she serves as a guide and mentor to young activists. Moral is active in the school student council and in the Karaite community in his city, broadcasts a current affairs program on Karai radio, and serves as the president of the "Interact" club - the association of youth social enterprises in Israel. Moral also serves as an instructor in the Karaite youth movement, a volunteer at MDA. Moral initiated and established the project 'Boycott not on us'. For his work, Moral won a district award of excellence.

Noam Navot - Atid Scientific High School for Community Leadership, Beit Hashmonai - Noam is active in the student council at her school, within which she works to improve student life. Noam is a prominent activist in the field of environmental awareness and is part of the leadership of the youth protest against the climate crisis. Noam also initiated and established several projects in her school to improve environmental awareness. In addition, Noam participates in the "Nir School" organization, which deals with medical education and connection between students in the various Middle Eastern countries. In addition to these, Noam established a voluntary framework for dialogue between girls and women of the third age.

Shahar Vakaninov - the interdisciplinary rabbi for sciences and arts, Hadera- Shahar serves as an ambassador for the 'Love Letters' organization that works for Syrian refugees and to increase awareness of the Syrian civil war. In this framework, Shahar initiated school events and lesson plans to increase awareness at the various levels. Shahar also participates in the program as "Ka'abia", a voluntary program that brings together the children of Hadera with the children of the Arab village of Ka'abia and works to reduce social gaps. In addition Shahar participates in the school debate group, and even represents it in national competitions. Recently, Shahar founded an association that connects youth and the elderly in her city, whose goal is to make sure that the living conditions of the elderly are respected.

Shiraz Bar Haim - Ort Alon, Yokneam - Shiraz, a student of the "Nachshon-Talfiot Leadership" class as part of a unique collaboration with Unit 8200, Shiraz is an active volunteer at the school in various social settings. In addition, Shiraz volunteers at the MDA organization, and even at the organization "Wings of Krambo" in which she serves as a guide and even led the expansion of the organization to activity in additional layers of detectors. Matar participates in the student group "Loyalists of Israel Culture" which works to strengthen the connection to Jewish Zionist heritage. Matar also participates in the "Shared Life" diplomatic project in collaboration with schools in Baka al-Gharbiyya, participates in the debate team at his school, in the Marom team - a leadership group for the development of computer skills and technological assistance.
