Another delay in the launch of the Texar spy satellite

The Indians explain this with technical faults, reports the Israeli satellite website SATIL.COM

The Indian newspaper The Hindu reports that the Indian Space Agency - ISRO - Indian Space Resource Organization announced another delay in the launch of the Israeli spy satellite due to technical reasons and said that the launch will be carried out after the problems are resolved

According to ISRO chairman Madhuan Nair, "we encountered a number of technical problems and after overcoming them, a new date was set for the launch." He also said that reports that appeared in several media outlets in recent days that the delay was postponed due to pressure exerted by the American government are "imaginary".

Texar, the first Israeli radar photography satellite with a synthetic aperture is capable of taking images with a resolution of less than one meter and should significantly improve the data collection capacity of the security system. The satellite is able to photograph in almost any weather condition through a thick layer of clouds or sandstorms and send very high definition images of large areas thanks to a beam that can be steered.

The satellite will be launched using ISRO's PSLV - Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle rocket. Some claim that this missile was preferred over the Shavit-1 missile due to a series of failed launches and that senior officials in the defense establishment were unwilling to risk the launch of the new satellite with such a missile.

  1. It can also be noted that the inclination that can be obtained from a launch in India has priority over the Western launch from Israel.
