The first international conference in China's Jiangsu Province for Technology Commercialization (CITTC) opened this weekend, with a demonstrable presence of participants from Israel. Among its stated goals: to create a platform for international cooperation, to build cooperation between companies and institutions from Israel with companies in China and to create long-term relationships to commercialize technologies and joint R&D activities. The conference was attended by 295 representatives from around the world including Canada, USA, India, Japan, Australia, France, Turkey, Belgium, Italy, and of course Israel, and 385 Chinese representatives.

The conference, held under the auspices of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, was attended by government representatives, scientists from commercialization companies and research institutes and universities from all over the world. The Israeli delegation had a prominent presence at the conference, with some of the participants even being chosen to speak before the event. For example, Dr. Shlomo Sharig, from the Ministry of Science, Culture and Sports presented the field of science and technology in Israel, Amir Nyberg from Yeda Company and Daniel Sekel from Ramot Company presented methods for promoting the development and commercialization of academic technologies that are among the leaders in the world in their innovation. Prof. Moti Hershkowitz from Ben Gurion University presented an innovative technology for creating fuels from vegetable oils and animal fats, and Prof. Shmuel Wolff, from the Hebrew University, presented 'What is modern agriculture'. Dr. Yehuda Niv from Ramot Company presented new technologies in the field of energy and environmental protection that were developed at Tel Aviv University and the candidacy for commercialization, including the creation of fuels from waste materials, improving the efficiency of wind turbines, creating hydrogen in an upgraded photosynthesis process, carrying out the chemical synthesis of industrial materials in an aqueous environment, and efficient and rare growth of soft corals under industrial "captive" conditions.

"The Chinese economy, despite everything that is happening around it, continues to grow at a fast pace and attracts global attention," says Dr. Yehuda Niv, CEO of Ramot. "The Jiangsu province of China has good research institutions, advanced industry and great development and production potential. There is a suitable environment there for the commercialization of our technologies. The Chinese are interested in international cooperation, and have a clear need for innovative technologies. Although, today the Chinese mainly express interest in more mature technologies, but the forecast is that in a few years the Chinese will also look for technologies at an earlier stage. We are actually sowing the seeds for future cooperation here."

  1. Cooperation with other countries is welcome. With knowledge perhaps...but is the goal to develop a quality product and sell it in the future, so that American and Chinese companies will produce it and reap the fruits?
There are no manufacturers left in the country. Where is your long-term vision, and where has it gone...Zionism...
