STS-121: The astronauts spent time loading the equipment on the shuttle, and preparing for the second spacewalk

STS-121 mission personnel on the shuttle Discovery and the 13th crew members on the International Space Station devoted Sunday morning to the traditional press conference of all nine crew members. The nine answered questions from journalists who were scattered at several NASA centers as well as at the European Astronaut Center in Cologne, Germany.

STS-121 mission commander Steve Linsey said crew members have a busy schedule but are up for the challenge. "Everything here is so hectic" said Landsey "but we managed to stay on schedule and have achieved all the goals so far."

In other activity on Sunday, crew members continued to transfer cargo from the Discovery and the Leonardo logistics component to the station. Leonardo is basically a reusable container that was attached to the station on Friday. After the over 3 tons of equipment is unloaded, it will be refilled with items that are no longer needed on the space station, and it will be returned to the shuttle deck and back to Earth with it. Also, the astronauts began preparations for another spacewalk that is expected to begin on Monday at 08:13 EST, 15:13 Israel time
