The Space Communications Company announced today that it has signed a first agreement for the provision of satellite communication services in Africa on the early Amos-5i satellite with a European company. The expected revenues from the transaction will reach approximately 6.3 million dollars in aggregate with an option for the client to expand to 7.6 million dollars.

As a reminder, Haval-Communications recently announced that in order to meet early demands for Amos-5 services, the company reached an agreement to transfer and place the temporary satellite, to provide services in Africa as soon as possible. The satellite named Amos-i5 is on its way from its original orbital location to the designated sky point of Amos-5, where it is expected to reach within a few weeks. Through it, the company will provide early satellite communication services in Africa, already starting in January 2010, to customers waiting for the commercial operation of Amos-5 expected in the second half of 2011.

Space-Communications expects that with the commercial operation of Amos-5, the scope of the company's sales will increase dramatically, since the scope of the communication services of this satellite is comparable to the ability to provide the services provided by the Amos-2 and Amos-3 satellites together.

David Polak, CEO of Haval Communications, said today that "from the moment we recognized the early demand for Amos satellite services on the African continent, the company decided not to wait until the completion of the Amos-5 satellite, and turned to the possibility of transferring and operating an early satellite at the point." This decision is already proving itself with the signing of the first agreement on Amos-i5, which is the first swallow for providing the company's services in the second largest continent in the world."
