The building of the Space Research Institute named after Norman and Helen Asher, was inaugurated at the Technion to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the Israeli space program, twenty years of the first Israeli satellite "Ofek" and ten years of the Technion's satellite, "Gorvin Taxat". The new building has three floors, 1,600 square meters, six laboratories, A seminar room, a conference room and a satellite station on the roof.

Professor Haim Ashad, head of the defense establishment's space program, said that "the Iranian satellite is primitive and we have no reason to fear it." However, he warned that the launcher that launched the satellite is dangerous and should worry the world. "The Technion students built and launched a much more complex and complicated satellite ten years ago. We predicted that he would stay in space for two years and today we are celebrating his ten years in space, and he is still there, alive, kicking and broadcasting," he added.

Professor Ashad predicted that in a year we will start to see space tourism. "In the first stage, the tourists will go up into space, see amazing sunrises and sunsets and experience zero gravity, all for a price of 200 thousand dollars", he explained.

The representative of the donating family, Robert Asher, said that he hopes that space exploration will bring unity and rapprochement between the people on earth.

The president of the Technion, Professor Yitzhak Apluig, said that in this case the sky is indeed the limit and wished the institute's researchers fruitful work and research.

The head of the Institute for Space Research at the Technion, Professor Moshe Gelman, said that space, because of its power, influence and symbolism, must be high on the list of priorities of the State of Israel and that the Institute for Space Research at the Technion will contribute to the realization of this vision.

  1. The truth is, if you ask any real 'chicken-flyer' secretly, secretly, what he thinks about the 'sky's limit' he will tell you that more than anyone else he knows/and cherishes limits, otherwise he would lose direction and time and find himself lost.
In fact, this is what is required of a true pilot and astronaut in general, these are one of the criteria for passing their exams.
It's called: 'self-control, in reality': so, the sky is the limit,,
And the rest sometimes also fantasize, :)

  2. The most successful use of the phrase "the sky is the limit" was made, in my opinion, by one of the commanders of a flight course whose graduation ceremony I watched.
When he addressed the course finishers, he explained to them that for them - the sky is the limit in the full sense of the word - this is the limit they are guarding.
Of course, this sentence is just as suitable for an airplane, but I heard it, as mentioned, at the end of a pilot course.
