An Israeli-American company has completed the development of a small arms system, which allows a fighter to discover and identify targets, and strike any threat, without being exposed to the enemy. The system is mainly intended for the fight against terrorism and warfare in built-up areas.
The weapon system (cornershot) on which a gun is assembled, is currently being examined by the headquarters of the Land Arm (MZI) of the IDF, the Israel Police as well as more than ten police and military systems in the world.
The developer, Lt. Col. Amos Golan, said that about 2 million dollars were invested in the development of the system and that it was registered in the US as an exclusive patent.
The shooting system allows its holder to scan any given building from different viewing angles, and after locating the threat - to hit it without revealing the operator of the weapon system.
The operator of the system can operate it to the right and left, in the corners of buildings, doors and keys. Aim up and down from rooftops or balconies.
