The Ministry of Science, Technology and Space will hold hundreds of science events for the general public as part of Israel Science Day, which will take place on March 26, 2014. The events will be attended by heads of state and senior officials in the world of science and the technological industry with the aim of bringing the general public closer to science, raising awareness of the achievements of science and scientists in Israel and encouraging science education.
The events will open with a festive evening on March 25, 2014 with the participation of four Israeli Nobel Prize bride and groom: Prof. Aharon Chachanover, Prof. Israel Oman, Prof. Ada Yonat, and Prof. Dan Shechtman. In addition, the promising young scientists of the Weizmann Institute will talk about their research.
On March 26, starting in the morning until the wee hours of the night, hundreds of science events will be held for the general public in collaboration with dozens of research bodies, scientists, companies and technological industries, the National Fund for Israel, the student union and higher education institutions all over the country.
