Innovative boots try to imitate the running of the ostrich
By: Rinat Filosof Barko
As a boy, Kahi Seymour dreamed of inventing boots that would allow him to run as fast as an ostrich. The ostrich is the largest bird living on earth today. Its weight may reach up to 150 kg and its height up to 2.5 meters, and it is the fastest land animal (among the animals that walk on two legs). Its running speed can reach about 65 km/h.
Many years later, Kahi realized his fantasy. He created a working prototype called the "Bionic Boot" - "the transportation / fitness device of the 21st century".
Kahi Seymour, and the "Bionic Boot" company that produced the boots, claim that the boots' springs imitate the Achilles tendon of the ostrich or the kangaroo. Today, this prototype allows humans to experience what it's like to reach a speed of 25 km/h, but Seymour has promised that he will not rest until he succeeds in taking the human body to the next level, where humans can experience speeds similar to those of the world's fastest animals.
The following video demonstrates an "ostrich" run in the bionic shoes, in an open natural area.

I would like to see a comparative test between running with the device versus running without the device to understand how effective it really is. By the way, I remember that I have already seen very similar installations in the past.
Not clear at all! disappointing
