The robot was developed by researchers from the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute, located in Pittsburgh, USA, with the assistance of the American space agency NASA. According to the researchers, the robot decodes its position and direction of movement relative to the sun, and at the same time it explores the environment. Scientists hope that the new robot will pave the way for a new generation of mission robots for outer space.
