For the magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study, subjects are needed: 45-65 years old, healthy, who have lived in Israel for at least the last 30 years (since this is Israeli general knowledge), and right-handed (in terms of preferred hand use).
The study tests recall of distant items, and consists of answering general knowledge questions, basically like a sequence of trivia questions. The subjects answer the questions while they are inside the fMRI device and some of the questions are also answered outside, on a computer.
The duration of the study is about two to three hours in one session held at Tel Hashomer Hospital, in the imaging unit. There are three places left for participation on Saturday, April 9.4.2011, XNUMX! (and a few more places will open later)
In return for participating, you receive a donation to science, 100 shekels in cash, on the spot, and a valuable photograph - of the inside of the brain (on a disk).
There is no radioactive radiation in the test.
