Keter Sefrit Ma'ariv publishes a tremendous work in scope, the fruit of over ten years of work by Dr. Yigal Fatal, chairman of the Astronomy Association
Everyone knows how "a star is born" but how does a star die? Become a black hole, a concentrated mass with a gravitational field so powerful that even light cannot escape? In a violent supernova explosion that releases at once energy like hundreds of millions and maybe even billions of suns, what causes these different behaviors?
What is the connection between the Andromeda constellation, which was first described in ancient Indian writings, and an ancient Brahmin ritual in which a horse was sacrificed and there was a kind of symbolic pairing between a girl or a queen and a horse?
How does the dance of death between two galaxies that are attracted to each other end? Is cannibalism a phenomenon limited to organisms on Earth?
The Encyclopedia of Constellations is one of the most comprehensive books ever published on the subject of constellations. She introduces the reader, in fluent language, to topics related to astronomy, astrology and mythology. The encyclopedia is filled with legends, beliefs, and works of art concerning the stars. It also serves as a guide for viewing the sky with the eye and a detailed atlas for viewing galaxies.
The two volumes of the encyclopedia contain hundreds of photographs, maps and drawings. Among the topics:
- A description of all the constellations and constellations, the origin of their names and their incarnation
- The origin of the astrological belief in the constellations
- Mythological stories such as the Gilgamesh or Hercules plots and more, and their connection to the constellations
- Galaxies swallowing smaller galaxies and stars feeding off their neighbors
- Hundreds of ancient charts depicting the constellations throughout the ages
- A dictionary of concepts with hundreds of entries
- Detailed explanations of various types of telescopes

Nice, I wanted to buy, even though my library shelves are already "exploded" with a lot of interest. Thank you.
