Saturn's F ring extends far to the right and contains a large amount of fine icy material, the size of dust grains. Unlike ring B which also contains large rocks. The image was taken by the Cassini spacecraft from a distance of 1.85 million kilometers.

To the left of the center of the image, two rings are visible within the Anka gap (which is about 325 km wide). The rings are distinguished by the dust-sized grains. The other dark areas in the rings are density waves and distortion waves.

The image was taken by Cassini's narrow-angle visible-light camera on February 20, 2005, but was only recently studied. The resolution of the image is 11 km per pixel.
