The opening of the Northeast Passage is strong evidence of global warming

"For more than a decade now, the rate of ice melting in the North Pole in the summer has exceeded the rate of accumulation in the winter," says Prof. Haim Kotiel, a climate expert from the University of Haifa

In red - the northeast passage. In blue - the route that bypasses the glaciers

"For more than a decade, the rate of ice melting in the North Pole in the summer exceeds the rate of accumulation in the winter," says Prof. Haim Kothiel, a climate expert from the University of Haifa. He further added that if the amount of greenhouse gases emitted does not decrease, there is a probability that the process will continue and the ice in the North Pole will eventually melt.

In recent days, for the first time, two German cargo ships crossed the "Northeast Passage". On the one hand, this is good news because this transition significantly shortens the journey from Asia to the West. But on the other hand, the reason that the ships were able to pass through this passage - which until now was a frozen ocean full of glaciers - indicates the continuation of the global warming process.

According to Prof. Kothiel, starting from March 21, six months of continuous sun begin in the North Pole, therefore the ice melts during this period. At the end of this period, the opposite period begins where the sun does not shine at all and then the ice accumulates. This phenomenon creates the "transitions" in the ice at the North Pole and is also the one that will eliminate them in the winter. However, the emission of greenhouse gases undermines the equilibrium of this process, and therefore in the last decade every spring begins in a less favorable situation in terms of the amount of ice, when as mentioned this year - for the first time the glaciers melted to such an extent that they allowed the passage of cargo ships. The researcher also added that due to the increase in awareness of the problem of greenhouse gas emissions, there is a moderation of the increasing trend from year to year, but still more greenhouse gases are emitted each year than the previous year. "In the limited Israeli aspect, we don't have much to do about it since the amount of greenhouse gases that can be reduced is sixty. It has to be a worldwide effort, which will cost a lot of money. The heads of state must understand that repairing the damage after the ice melts will cost much more," he says. However, there is a slightly encouraging fact that arises from the differences between the two poles of the Earth: while at the South Pole ice covers land, the North Pole is made up of ice that floats entirely in the sea. Therefore, the mass of the North Pole will have much less effect on sea level rise.

  1. Yes, it is quite amusing to present it this way: "the amount of ice around the pole - one of the lowest in history" - this is from Ynet this morning. But if you look at the information, there are only 30 years of measurements, while the current trend that is being created is... you won't believe it, but for the increase in the amount of ice at the Pole... does this mean that the global temperature is going down? surprising! Perhaps there is a radiative constraint here that is more significant than the FAD, and perhaps the climatic sensitivity of the earth is not as high as we thought? hmm…. And now without cynicism, apparently only according to these data (and there aren't enough) we can't conclude anything about climate change except the fact that it is happening (duh). What when and what rate is not clear. You just need more data.

  2. Ron
The topic of global warming (and climate change) is a science that is in its infancy. Man's influence on this process is a subject we understand even less.
There is much evidence that claims the exact opposite of what the sites you have posted. Do you Ron understand enough to claim that the argument of your sites is scientific while the arguments of other sites are false and lost science?
For example, you made the argument that:
For 7 years the ice has been rising and falling in exactly the same way according to satellite data.
Isn't it better to read what NASA has to say on the subject?
    http://climate.nasa.gov/news/index.cfm?FuseAction=ShowNews&NewsID=174
Or in a succinct way: NASA has been tracking the ice cap in the North Pole since 1979. This year the ice cap is the third largest in the region, while only two years ago it was smaller.
A bit doesn't add up with your site's argument isn't it Ron?
But I also forgot that NASA is pseudo-science, after all, they also faked the moon landing 🙂

But since we're in the holiday season and I spent a successful Rosh Hashanah vacation in exile I'll give it to you and assume there's a 60% chance that we're not actually destroying the planet. You know what Ron is for you 80%.
Are you ready for your get rich quick to take the risk and continue to pollute with full vigor and take a 20% risk that you are really destroying the world?

  3. Ron, first of all congratulations for the courage..
But to the point.. research against research, many studies prove one way and others another.. This is true in the weather and true in whether it is allowed/forbidden to eat eggs.. (I have heard so many contradictory articles on this topic alone).

That's why I have no way of knowing that the studies that Ron brings are reliable and accurate. For both directions, see for example the subject of cigarettes).
In my opinion, global warming is not the point, but pollution and the extent of the impact (for better or for worse) and where is the responsibility that man has for nature.. We only learn that our actions affect the world (see a topic that is difficult to argue with - the introduction of rabbits to Australia and its effects) and therefore any decision that may have an effect should be judged carefully... And I think this is the lesson of this whole debate.

And Ron, despite my curiosity .. I didn't have the strength to read more than 1/4 of the material .. an accurate summary in Hebrew of the things would do a 1000 times better job for the idea ..

  4. Father, note that I give one exhaustive response.

But people contact me by name and want clarification, including you.

This is not a flood, these are responses to specific questions asked of me by other commenters.
We have already agreed that the issue is clarified.
    Bye

  5. Ron, enough with the paranoia, give others a chance to express themselves, flooding will not strengthen your position, it will only make people skip your comments. I think that one orderly comment (in Hebrew) in each piece of news is enough to say what you want.

  6. I think you've made yourself clear, let people respond, you open so many comments, it bothers surfers who can't understand left and right.
Apart from that, the scientist site set itself the goal of bringing the science, and the science, what to do, is not done by underground bodies but by scientists, which is their profession, and in peer-reviewed journals. I don't have the tools to judge things that haven't passed this review, and believe me I get such theories tested all the time. I am flattered to be thought capable of addressing alternative theories of stem cells, disease, the structure of the universe, and more. But I don't have the tools for that.

If you are willing to be content with one short response to each piece of news and in Hebrew (it is not wise to cut and paste from an unidentified website), I have no problem with you responding, just keep in mind that my support will always be in tested and proven theories and not in conspiracies. Those who want to believe in conspiracies have plenty of sites that give up this criticism.

  7. Ron,

How exactly does the elite benefit from the idea of global warming? The West is the one that emits the most greenhouse gases, not the developing countries. The demands for a reduction in greenhouse gases are more serious from the West than from the developing countries (Israel is included in the definition of developing countries according to the Kyoto Protocol).
I don't understand the benefit of the whole conspiracy.

  8. And tell me here clearly and directly

that you do not want the material I present to be here.

I will not comment here anymore.

    My word.

  9. I'm the one who showed all the examples.
What hundreds of thousands of Godamas did you show?
You showed one example 1- about the ships in the north (which I proved to you is a marketing trick)

Thank you, Honorable Minister of Information

  10. Ok, if the site is not interested in seeing reality, what interest do you have in forcing its readers.
The Iraqi Minister of Information said during the Second Gulf War that the Iraqi military forces would not let the Americans cross the border with Kuwait, with the American tanks in the background advancing on Baghdad - about a thousand kilometers to the north.
If you're not ready to see the hundreds of thousands of examples you show of warming and prefer 20 local examples of cooling (which I doubt are true but even if they are, they're a drop in the ocean), then cheers.

  11. Because the whole idea behind the bluff is taxation and creating big money for the elite/bankers at the top of the pyramid, stopping the middle class and stopping the third world from progressing.

There is an agenda to create a world dictatorial government by them - and through this "innocent" agenda (as well as with the flu epidemic and the economic collapse)

They force countries to participate in it.

Scientists have no say in whether they want a job.

  12. Ron,

If the whole story of global warming is a hoax designed to get funding for scientific research, while the data proves otherwise, why won't those same scientists present the real data to study global cooling? Won't that give them budgets?

  13. Ron, even if it's a bluff, etc., etc.,
Yes, it's better to keep your email clean and green...
If on average each of us throws a kilo of trash a day, it is better to recycle it all than to just collect it at some site.

Try playing "sim city" or watch "Wall-e".

Instead of using fossil fuel, isn't it better to use the power of the sun?

  14. Hi Ron,
I think our goals are similar - I'm short of researching myself. I am also interested in seeing the original data, and not just the interpretations

  15. Dear Liron

I do not claim to be a weather expert
I am an expert in finding the authentic sources of information.

For the smaller details you will have to start your own independent investigation (and it's a good thing).

You might even email Robert Felix of Ice Age Now
    He will answer you specifically

Make sure to be friendly in your writing - there are so many agents of defamation and disinformation that he already ignores them.

  16. Ami, regarding the Sea of Galilee "and the waterfalls of our land"

The reasons for this are not the imaginary "global warming".

There are very concrete reasons -

    1.
The main points of contention in the peace talks were an area of about 400 square kilometers in the Arabah, which the Jordanians claimed that Israel had annexed over the years, and a division of the water resources of the Jordan River, most of its water was stopped at the Degania Dam and diverted to the national leading plant. Israel agreed to return most of the territory and to allocate water from its sources to Jordan, thus effectively solving the territorial problem.
As part of a just distribution of the water in Jordan, the Yarmouch and the groundwater of the Arava, Israel committed to make available to Jordan 50 million cubic meters of water every year from the Sea of Galilee and to share the waters of the Yarmouch so that Jordan receives 3/4 of it. Also, to develop additional sources of water such as the construction of two reservoirs on the Jordan and mutual aid in this resource in troubled years (Jordan demanded to receive 100 million cubic meters per year from the waters of the Sea of Galilee).

    2.
Israel and Jordan, as sub-states, are affected by Syria and Lebanon's poor use of river water

    3.
The Wazani springs are the only permanent source of the Hatsabani stream (Hashnir) which is one of the three sources of the Jordan. According to one of Israel's water experts, with the end of the Lebanese project, the State of Israel will lose about 3.5 million cubic meters of water per year from the Kinneret's water balance

    4.
There is a severe water shortage in Israel, and it is getting worse. There are several reasons for this: the country is in a semi-arid region, and we have only a few water sources! Apart from that, the population in our country is also growing at a fast rate, and the standard of living is also increasing. For these reasons the lack of water is felt every year more and more. Add to these a few years of drought, and here we have a severe shortage problem! Last winter, the amount of precipitation that fell in different parts of the country was at the multi-year average and the water crisis of the last few years has not yet passed and it will take many more rainy years before the problem is behind us.

    5.
At the beginning of its journey, 80% of the water in Movil was intended for agriculture, and the rest for domestic consumption. Gradually the ratio changed, until in the early 90s about 50% of the leading water was provided for drinking, and about 3.5 million people in Israel drink leading water. According to the forecasts, in 2010 about 80% of the leading water will be used for drinking

    6.
Sometimes there is also a drought - it happens.
In a rainy year such as the winter of 1992, the level can rise to the full four meters and even more, then it is necessary to open the Degania Dam in order to flow water into Jordan. In a cold winter, on the other hand, such as 1991, the level of the Sea of Galilee rose by only 32 cm during the season

  17. Ron, I read your comment, and went through the links.

For some reason, when I look at the graphs of the average global temperature, and no matter what altitude, the year 2009 looks warmer than the previous years.
The link to the graphs: http://discover.itsc.uah.edu/amsutemps/execute.csh?amsutemps+001

And suppose I'm wrong, is it possible to learn anything about climate trends based on a few single years?

Regarding the increase in glaciers, is it due to the decrease in temperature or an increase in the amount of precipitation?

  18. And let's not forget the huge amounts of garbage we produce
The manufacturing companies are proud of the fact that their products wear out quickly
And this after they took a simple and good raw material and added a lot of chemicals to it
Statistics say that 99% of the products Americans buy are thrown away within 6 months

We need a body that will calculate the total resources left in the world and according to that monitor until production
Such a body will also find that there is enough food to feed all the hungry in the world

  19. You are a big demagogue.

    All I showed was –
    1. That there is no human hand or anything in global warming.
    2. We have been witnessing rapid cooling for 8 years and this is the natural and expected cycle.
    3. The people pushing the global warming agenda are the wealthy and the politicians.

    that's it.

Regarding improving the quality of human life - those "altruists" themselves do not release the technology that has existed for at least 50 years for the welfare of the world public.

See my response #8 (and amendment 25)
in an article on this website

    https://www.hayadan.org.il/new-way-to-reproduce-a-black-hole-2308099/

The age of lies is over.

  20. To R and N
Continue your line of argument and call:
Cutting down forests for the production of furniture and freeing up areas for growing soybeans!
The production of large fuel-guzzling cars for the sake of the Shoi (Shooti) of the country!
Killing dolphins, whales, elephants and so on in order to satisfy the lust for the "sport" of
"The White Hunter" and for the continuation of "Tradition"!
"The Flowering of the Desert" by golf lawns that will be watered in Jordanian water!
Continuation of the exploitation of natural resources in Africa without compensation for its inhabitants!
The construction of huge dams on all the rivers to store water and produce electricity for factories where "sweat workers" will produce goods that will satisfy the demands of the people of America and the fattening West!
The continuation of the wild fishing that will enrich criminals!
Continue hunting fur animals for beauties and beauties!
Continue killing rhinos to satisfy the delusions of Chinese and Saudi sheikhs!
Continued pollution of beaches, seas and water with garbage, plastic, sewage and raw sewage!
The continued use of insecticides that... kill everything!
Continued emission of substances that destroy the ozone layer!
Turning huge areas into cultivation fields for one cultivation, (which won't be boring).
Continue wild mining and destroy every beautiful plot,
The continuation of the illusory consumption of ingredients advertised in the media and which are not needed,
And besides, "the neighbors already have"!
    Did I forget something?
Yes of course, continued increasing emission of gases that accumulate in the atmosphere
    And create the greenhouse effect?
Or in short, the continuation of the behavior of "I and nothing more", "after the flood",
Because it has already been said that "man is allowed"... isn't it?

  21. To Ron, you don't have to go far. You are invited to go with me to the Kinneret or to one of the "waterfalls of the land" and there you may open your eyes.

  22. To Ron, instead of getting bogged down in reading articles, raise your eyes and look at what is happening around you, the facts are the deciding factor and all the facts point to a destructive warming process. And for good reason I will ask you to look around you, since facts are not learned just by reading.

  23. I sat down from the chamomile.
After proving that anthropogenic warming is a pseudo-scientific political agenda,
    Of course the question arises:
Why do scientists even agree to support the theory of global warming caused by humans - when science and data prove it to be false?
    The reasons are quite mundane.

    Reason A -

    Professor of meteorology, Richard Lindzen.
speaks at the 2009 International Conference on Climate Change.
Says, most colleagues will say yes to AGW,
whether or not they believe or have expertise in climate.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptoBGW3hU-g

  24. I also know that we are headed for a little ice age. Each ice age began with the warming and modification of the planet's great conveyor belts. But the whole story of carbon pollution has a positive effect in that it draws attention to our responsibility to the planet. We pollute it and cut down the virgin forests [and also plant gardens] and this is important, it is not the responsibility of the planet and nature, and it is very harmful to us.

We are in Japan for a big change, and there is no doubt about that! That's why the planet is also not quiet, the economy is turbulent, and the opinions of the people as above.
Very interesting times for us, that's for sure.
And another thing, when there were big changes on the planet, it was never the same again.
Not when the dinosaurs walked, not at the end of the ice age when the sea level rose by 100m, everything changed and much more than we think. The little that remains will appear to us as fairy tales, mythological religious stories or "Boba Misses"

    Doron.

  25. Ron, calm down, take a deep breath, don't be so frightened and look at reality with open eyes, there is something to be done and needs to be done

    Successfully

  26. Specifically for the story of the ships - this is a publicity stunt
An icebreaker did accompany the ships, but we are not told what she did...
    and also -
Lawson W. Brigham, a retired captain of one of America's aging polar icebreakers and lead author of an important report on Arctic shipping trends and issues, the Arctic Marine Shipping Assessment. Dr. Brigham said the Beluga shipments are probably the vanguard of what will be decades of exploratory efforts to normalize such trade. But he doubts that big container shipping companies, which require predictability, will be eying such routes any time soon, given both the climatic and bureaucratic obstacles

And that's after a 10 minute internet search.

    http://dotearth.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/09/04/commercial-arctic-passage-nearing-goal/

  27. I will bring another scientific source - let there be 2
More specific to the article -
Arctic sea-ice 500,000 square kilometers (190,000 sq miles) more than at this time last year

    The information –
    http://www.arcus.org/search/seaiceoutlook/2009_outlook/update_september.php

    And the article
    climateaudit.org/?p=6975

As I said in the big response -
All calculations are data from a computer model fed with partial and false data - to support the bluff called global warming.

The data on the ground speaks for itself.

  28. Why does the science website that considers itself scientific support such a gross lie??

    specific to the article -

For 7 years the ice has been rising and falling in exactly the same way according to satellite data.

The decrease is a natural phenomenon for the month of September - I wonder why "they" don't report what happens in March -
Judge for yourself here is the information
    http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/en/home/seaice_extent.htm

    Here is the article

    and by and large -
    Global warming theory
It is mostly based on an assessment based on a computer model
While the physical data proves the opposite

The whole agenda of global warming by humans -
is a political agenda supported by pseudo-science and lies.

You have to start by finding out who benefits from it.
Then you find out how much money, power, influence,
Suppression is related to the theory of global warming
asked Gore, a member of the infamous CFR,
received a Nobel Prize for it despite the many lies it contains,
And even though thousands of scientists signed a petition against it.
And then you find out that the "Club of Rome"
A club for rich members, politicians and bankers, only
closely related to the Bilderberg group said this:
"In searching for a new enemy to unite us,
we came up with the idea that pollution,
the threat of global warming, water shortages,
famine and the like would fit the bill...
All these dangers are caused by humans
intervention and it is only through
    changed attitudes and behavior
    that they can be overcome.
The real enemy, then, is humanity itself

Over 30 thousand scientists have signed a petition that the theory that humans release greenhouse gases - and the earth is warming - is a bluff

-Approximately every 179 years - it is colder on Earth due to the position of the planets in front of the Sun and the magnetic field
    - About every 360 years - there is a mini ice age
-Approximately every 1440 years - the Earth is in a colder state
