The Technion will award nine "Honorary Doctor" degrees this summer

Yitzhak Nissan, CEO of the Aerospace Industry, Moshe Yanai, one of the pioneering engineers who greatly influenced the field of data storage in the world, Eli Ofer, former Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Professors Lorenz Zederbaum, Persua Dietrich and Gunther Spoor, Gary Goldberg, a friend of the Technion from Canada , Joan Seidel and Harold Marcus, friends of the Technion from the USA - will receive an "Honorary Doctorate" degree from the Technion at the annual session of the Cortorion (Board of Trustees) this summer.

Yitzhak Nissan will receive the title "for his contribution to Israel's security in his various positions in the defense industry and for his contribution to the aerospace industry which he marched to unprecedented achievements".
Eli Ofer will receive the title "for his leadership in the fields of research and development in Israel and for his vision expressed in the advancement of the infrastructure for advanced technologies in Israel."

Moshe Yanai will receive the title "in recognition of his pioneering technological leadership, his revolutionary innovation in the field of global storage and the inspiration he gave as a role model to students and graduates of the Technion".
Professor Cederbaum will receive the title for his achievements in the field of atomic and molecular science,
Professor Dietrich - for his important contribution in the field of organic chemistry and Professor Spur for his great contribution to the technology of production systems and processes in mechanical engineering.
