In recent years, there have been significant developments in the field of space exploration, starting with the first private flight into space, the crash of the shuttle Columbia, and ending with the first Chinese launch into space and the American announcement of a return to the moon in 2020. The lecture will review these developments and analyze future trends in space exploration. Will we really return to the moon in another 15 years and reach Mars in another 25 years? What is the tool that will replace the space shuttle? When can we fly into space? Why even explore space and not invest the money in hospitals?
The lecture will be given in the auditorium of the Faculty of Aeronautics and Space Engineering, Technion, on Wednesday the eighth of June. The lecture will start at 13:30 and will be given by Daniel Rosenberg. Entry is free, no prior knowledge is required.
