The crew of Space Shuttle Endeavor woke up for the shuttle's first day in full orbit at 8:37 a.m. (EDT) to the sound of the song "Where My Heart Will Take Me," sung by renowned tenor Russell Watson. The song was played for mission specialist Rick Mastrazio.
In preparation for Endeavour's rendezvous and docking with the space station, crew members will install a centerline camera. The camera will help Commander Scott Kelly pilot the spacecraft as it approaches the station's docking bay. Team members will also test the instruments that will be used for the rendezvous and expand the ring of the spacecraft's docking system. The Endeavor is expected to dock tomorrow, Friday, at 12:53.
