After concerns that continued throughout the last few days, a hole in the clouds made it possible at the very last moment to carry out the last launch of any space shuttle.

 

The launch of the space shuttle Atlantis on mission STS-135 was delayed for a minute due to further testing of the engines, but this did not prevent the launch because the launch window within which it would be able to connect with the International Space Station.

On the CNN broadcast, the commentators who accompanied the launch said that NASA does not intend to wait with the launch for more days and will take advantage of even the narrowest window so as not to disappoint the million viewers who came from all over the United States and many countries around the world.
