Research dealing with an impedance pump for the heart alongside an automatic buoyancy balance control system for divers, a new computational model for finding the Higgs particle alongside a new way to create colloidal synthesis of nanoscale semiconductors and even early prediction of earthquakes.
A delegation of nine teenagers, winners of the national competition for young scientists and developers, will go from May 11.5 to May 20.5 to Phoenix, Arizona to represent Israel in the prestigious Intel ISEF competition where they will present their research against over 1,500 projects carried out by teenagers from all over the world. The competition for young scientists and developers in Israel is being held for the 16th year by one of the science museums in Israel, the Science and Technology Administration of the Ministry of Education and the Intel company.
The six studies carried out by nine outstanding high school students and who represented Israel in the competition are innovative, ground-breaking and present different scientific-technological thinking. The studies are very diverse and thus, one can find in them a study dealing with an impedance pump for the heart alongside an automatic buoyancy balance control system for divers, a new computational model for finding the Higgs particle alongside a new way to create a colloidal synthesis of nanoscale semiconductors and even an early prediction of earthquakes. The studies and their products provide innovative and life-saving solutions to existing problems that so far have not been solved.
Besides participating in the prestigious international competition of Intel ISEF and representing the State of Israel, the winners of the competition are expected to win considerable monetary prizes and commendable grades.
