First publication in Hebrew: Iran revealed its manned spacecraft plans

The researchers, Laila Khaljeda and Haran Shams said in their presentation that the spacecraft will be able to carry 1-3 people into low orbit for several hours. The spacecraft consists of several modules including a manned capsule and a launch module. The Iranians claim that this is the most economical spacecraft designed so far.

Iranian researchers at Hajj Nasir University have designed and built a manned spacecraft. This is what the Iranian news agency ISNA said today.

The researchers, Laila Khaljeda and Haran Shams said in their presentation that the spacecraft will be able to carry 1-3 people into low orbit for several hours. The spacecraft consists of several modules including a manned capsule and a launch module. The agency claims that this is the most economical spacecraft designed so far.

Tal Inbar, head of the Center for Space Research and UAVs at the Fisher Institute for Aerospace Studies, reports that Iran has presented drawings of its future manned spacecraft for orbital flights around the Earth. Apparently designed for a team of two. Technical data will be uploaded later. No details have yet been released about the launcher that will be required to launch this spacecraft into space.

It has already been noted that a launcher capable of launching a satellite into space, and certainly a heavy satellite like the manned spacecraft, can easily be converted into a long-range ballistic missile.

So far, only three countries have independently built and launched manned spacecraft: the two superpowers that started the manned space race in the 2003s - Russia (as the successor to the USSR) and the USA, as well as China, which joined the club in XNUMX.

  1. If Israel wants to launch people into space, it can cooperate with private entities such as Regen-Galactic or another country, for example India, and when it has accumulated enough knowledge and experience to launch on its own, and also sell this service to countries and private individuals.

  2. I still don't understand, but Israel doesn't do such a thing? To send people into space ..probably because of the budget
But still, but it aspires to be the 4th country? where is india Japan?

  3. We planned and built??? Two researchers at the university??? Come on seriously - what they have is a presentation with graphics that two researchers are able to prepare. Not worth an article on the site.
