A multi-armed radar of the Aerospace Industry participated in the successful tests carried out by the security system in recent days in the "Iron Dome" system.
Two radar systems of the MMR - Multi Mission Radar type, produced by Elta Systems, a division and subsidiary of the Aerospace Industry, located in different areas, participated in the experiments at the same time. Dozens of rockets were fired in the outline of the experiment. The performance of the radars was excellent and made an important contribution to the success of the experiments.

Elta Systems Ltd., a division and subsidiary of the Aerospace Industry (TAA) won contracts from foreign customers totaling 55 million dollars for the supply of advanced communication systems. Elta develops and manufactures a variety of military applications in the field of communication systems, including line of sight communication (EL/K 1850), satellite communication systems in motion (EL/K 1897/2), multi-channel communication system (ARC 840D), communication systems for network intelligence and more.

These communication systems have many uses in the various arenas such as: remote control systems, computerized control and control systems, over-the-horizon communication systems, network warfare and more. Alta products were chosen thanks to the high capabilities and modular flexibility to adapt to the customer's needs, the extensive experience in the field and also thanks to the integrative capabilities of the aerospace industry to implement advanced communication systems in large-scale projects.

Nissim Hadas, Deputy Director of the TAA and CEO of Elta said: "Elta has a long and successful tradition of developing communication systems for various uses. The contracts received reflect the customers' trust in the quality and reliability of these advanced systems."

Comments

  1. If the Honorable State of Israel had properly invested in laser weapons, such as Nautilus, we would not have had to compromise today on "Iron Erection" and its friends...

  2. Commenter number 2: Look, the system is supposed to calculate the approximate location of the rocket's fall during the flight phase, but when they say "calculate the fall area" it is not exactly 2 meters to the left or 4 to the right! It's more or less up to a hundred meter deviation here or there which is enough to know if it will fall on a neighborhood or in a field next to it,,, so that no one will have the idea if the missile that falls in an open area will hit the road that passes there or will fall 30 meters from it and in light of the price of the missile The interceptor ($70,000 per unit) so it's better if it hits the road and we repair it for 20,000 NIS and in general you say a missile will fall in the middle of the Negev,,, where will it be launched from if it falls in the Negev? Don't forget that the Iron Dome is supposed to deal with short-range rockets and mortars, which means from Lebanon in the direction of Hadera and/or Gaza to Sderot or Be'er Sheva, so it won't so much come to the Negev from Gaza, and if a missile does come to the Negev, then it will be from the direction of Syria/Iran/ Lebanon and it will be a "heavy" missile that the Arrow system is supposed to face.

  3. Wow
It only detonates the missiles that fall in a built-up area, but if it falls on a road in the middle of the Negev?
Will this also be blown up or will the "Iron Dome" system ignore it?
And what if they bomb the system?
Does the "Iron Dome" also have a system to protect it, or not?
After all, they will not put the system in a built-up area!
And if someone walks outside of a built-up area and gets hurt?
This should also be taken into account!
