At the ministerial exchange ceremony at the Ministry of Science and Technology, which took place today, the outgoing minister, Ralav Majadala, congratulated the incoming minister, Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz, and wished him success. Majadala said that he is convinced that the separation of the ministries will increase the value of the Ministry of Science. "There is no doubt that the incoming minister will succeed in his tasks, also due to the fact that he came from the field of science." However, Majadala added, Israel's investment in science is in retreat, and although it knows this, it does nothing in the fields of science, research and higher education."

The incoming minister, Hershkowitz, said that Israel is short on resources and that the only resource is human capital, and thus Israel outweighs all the countries of the world. Minister Hershkovitz noted that he said on Science Day in the Knesset that Israel should stop financial aid to the US, which is reaping the fruits of Israel's investment in scientists, and that active action should be taken to stop the brain drain.

The incoming minister mentioned the upcoming Passover holiday and said that Passover and Matzah are reminiscent, he asked us to sin with all our heart. "I am the poor in practice, I am not better than others and I have a difficult task, I wish that we march the Ministry of Science and Technology to its rightful place because it should be in the first row."

Although there are scientists who believe, but the statistics show that these are the exceptions:

Religion and science are in direct contradiction and the ability of people to live with the contradiction is indicative of the people and not of the fact that the rabbit is ruminating and not ruminating at the same time.

At the jubilee celebrations of the Department of Technology and Science Teaching at the Technion, the new Minister of Science intends to give a lecture on "Torah and Science in the 21st Century"

  4. Dear Friends
Regarding the apparent contradiction that exists between religion and science,
    I will raise two points:
1]. The fact is that there are many scientists who are religious and some of them are probably even outstanding.
2]. An offer to my father Blizovsky. It will be interesting to read
On this website, an interview with the new minister. I am sure that the minister will be able to enlighten our eyes, both in his view on science and religion and on other issues, from the fields of his research and the fields of activity, and the activity for the future, in the Ministry of Science.
To my father, thanks and good luck.

  5. Luke,

    Reporter:
"You can believe in a higher power and still want and promote science in every possible way"

Do you also include the theory of evolution in this?

  6. Birch,
I think he meant the brain drain.
The Israeli investment in education yields economic fruits in the USA.

  7. It is possible to believe in a higher power and still want and advance science in every possible way, I offer you a "point" that will leave your one-dimensional world and join us the free people, Happy Passover.

  8. What we are missing now is the article: "Scandal in Israel, the Minister of Science believes in God".

    : )
