Theory of Everything Research Grant

The fqxi organization awarded a research grant to Dr. Gerhat Lizi to study a theory he developed that explains in a simple way how the various forces work without needing additional dimensions

organization Foundational Questions Institute announced the award grants A total of 2.7 million dollars to 33 researchers engaged in the study of physics and cosmology. Among the researchers is surfer/theorist Dr. Garrett Lisi, developer of the "Theory of Everything" who received $77,222. A significant increase compared to fqxi's previous round of grants, in 2006, in which Lizzie received $77,280 over two years.

Lizzie hit the headlines Last year when he published a comprehensive theory that combines all known forces without the use of additional dimensions, parallel universes and other strange concepts. The theory explains how all the different particles and forces fit into each other and influence each other.

The refreshing theory received good reviews from the scientific community, and this despite Lizzy's image among the members of the scientific community - who see him as an idle surfer. At the same time, he managed to do something that the best scientists of all time failed to do.

In order to prove Lizzie's theory, it will be necessary to move from a theoretical research concept to an applied concept. The theory states that there are more than 20 particles that have not yet been predicted or discovered. Now everyone hopes that the use of the new particle accelerator LHC In Geneva, he will be able to locate some of the particles and bring us several steps closer to proving the "theory of everything".

Also, Lizzy is required to continue researching the mathematical structure on which his theory is based - a complex mathematical pattern with 248 points in eight different dimensions known as E8. Lizzie's acquaintance with E8 was accidental, but the similarity between the equations of the mathematical structure and the interactions between its elementary particles matched perfectly. After combining the particles and forces he studied on the 248 points of the E8, he realized that he had a tool in his hands that explains the connections between the particles and the various forces such as gravity and the other three forces.

When he published his findings, some researchers did not refer to the wave surfer at all, but others who examined the findings marveled at its mathematical simplicity and the fact that it explains everything with the help of 3 dimensions of space and one dimension of time.

  1. for debaters

As you know, I'm actually a follower of particles, and I see the inability to explain physics with the help of particles or waves that move through particles as a defect that will be resolved in the end.
But lest you have any doubts, I see the almost perfect accuracy of the quantum calculations and of course if I had to do them I would. Likewise with my gravity calculations with the curvature of space - I would do the calculations this way even though I was sure there must be another explanation.
Simply, I have a gut feeling that everything can be explained with real things - particles and waves that move only in particles.
Again - just a gut feeling.
On a site for amateurs, you can talk about a gut feeling.
    Good morning to the Mishkaim

  2. bro…. Einstein
If you feel that it is not true then maybe detail how it would sound yes true to you
What exactly is bothering you if you can focus on points
Or is it just a general gut feeling
As Michael said it is hard to argue with facts that the theory predicts with vigorous precision how
Different processes and interactions must be calculated

  3. Brother ... Einstein:
If you want to know the truth then you should start by basing yourself on real information regarding the models of the Cont theory.
These models do not talk about particles only, but about "creatures" that, subject to the measurement being carried out and the principle of uncertainty, behave as a wave or as a particle.
Quantum theory - with all its non-intuitiveness - is surprisingly accurate in its predictions.
It is the amazing accuracy of predictions that allows people to overcome the reluctance of an unintuitive model and adopt a model that works.

  4. Michael, you don't understand me at all at all
Maybe if you start to see subtleties then you will understand me better
I'm not saying the symptoms don't exist

I say that the models that describe the phenomena are defective and not satisfactory
And it is not a smart way at all to permanently close holes in other models when the basic models
Not satisfying it only creates more confusion, more conflicts and more paradoxes

The theory of relativity is incomplete or rather its implications have not been exhausted
By the way, she is also just a model not to forget
A model as a white lie designed to describe a phenomenon in a transparent way that little people like us can imagine

    A particle is a model
A model designed to describe an abstract situation that is difficult to imagine in any other way. OK, obviously

There is a conflict between relativity and quantum mechanics
More precisely between the relativistic model and the quantum model

I personally have no problem with relativity
My problem is whether the quantum model insists on describing phenomena as particles
A model that at the time worked
There was also no other choice because there were no computers that could calculate wave interactions at the necessary level, so everyone succumbed to the particle model and this is the lie I'm talking about

It is a lie that today we are paying the price for and the Nell theory only illustrates
A good model should be simple and understandable, should be a eureka moment for both the inventor and the person who understands

The obstacles in physics are not computational, they are mental, philosophical and religious (religion in the sense of
early beliefs and values that influence the way of looking)
which create models that do not conflict with these beliefs
But may often collide if the truth

In this sense, physics became religious and not scientific
And in this sense you are Michael... a medieval Catholic while I am Michael...
Just want to know the truth!!

  5. Brother...Einstein
9 cabins of wisdom descended to the family.
    Einstein himself took them all.

There is no reason to be proud that you do not understand what others understand.
For my part, you can continue not to believe in the existence of the electron and the proton until the end of time.
Since your disbelief does not eliminate reality, we can continue to use them and create devices that serve you as well.

  6. OK, I've calmed down, it's the dying flutters of various particle theories

A particle is just another name for we don't know what's inside and why it works like that
So we will call it a particle and say that this is how it works, this is a theoretical assumption and a momentary oversight
For the sake of progress, OK, of course

But when people start to forget that these are waves first, "particles" are just a shape
Their theoretical realization for the purpose of the model and nothing more
It's a little white lie that we all agreed on for the purpose of understanding that we don't know OK obviously

When people start thinking about waves instead of particles everything will suddenly become simpler
Without 7000 invented dimensions and without regret OK
3 dimensions and topic frequency There are many more things in this field to understand without inventing nonsense that no one understands but they will issue a nice grant for next year

He is right about one thing though
You don't need to run to invent dimensions before you understand how the three that are already there work

  7. What nonsense what nonsense what nonsense wife nonsense

Wait, so he made a mathematical model that shows interactions. I have no idea what E8 is, and it's not important at the moment. This particle clearly attracts it,,,, and this particle pushes it clearly.

sorry what is this particle why is it attractive?? Why is he pushing?? What is he sitting on?

Who said he should push and not pull at all

There is no theory of anything and certainly not of everything

It's pretty clear that the whole idea of gluons and higgs is pretty stupid and designed to close holes

Yes, there is a phenomenon here that we can't explain, so there is a particle here called Jojo Khalstra
And that's exactly what he does

OK, but who is Jojo Chalstra anyway????????????.

    What is this regret?????????????

  8. to a straw man
    Bigger than the Human Genome
The magnitude of the E8 calculation invites comparison with the Human Genome Project. The human genome, which contains all the genetic information of a cell, is less than a gigabyte in size. The result of the E8 calculation, which contains all the information about E8 and its representations, is 60 gigabytes in size. That is enough space to store 45 days of continuous music in MP3 format. While many scientific projects involve processing large amounts of data, the E8 calculation is very different: the size of the input is comparatively small, but the answer itself is enormous, and very dense.
Like the Human Genome Project, these results are just the beginning. According to project leader Jeffrey Adams, "This is basic research which will have many implications, most of which we don't understand yet. Just as the human genome does not instantly give you a new miracle drug, our results are a basic tool which people will use to advance research in other areas.” This could have unforeseen implications in mathematics and physics which do not appear for years.

According to Hermann Nicolai, a director of the Max Planck Institute in Potsdam, Germany (not affiliated with the project), "This is an impressive achievement. While mathematicians have known for a long time about the beauty and the uniqueness of E8, we physicists have come to appreciate its exceptional role only more recently — yet, in our attempts to unify gravity with the other fundamental forces into a consistent theory of quantum gravity , we now encounter it at almost every corner! Thus, understanding the inner workings of E8 is not only a great advance for pure mathematics, but may also help physicists in their quest for a unified theory.”

    Beautiful Symmetry
At the most basic level, the E8 calculation is an investigation of symmetry. Mathematicians invented the Lie groups to capture the essence of symmetry: underlying any symmetrical object, such as a sphere, is a Lie group.
Lie groups come in families. The classical groups A1, A2, A3, … B1, B2, B3, … C1, C2, C3, … and D1, D2, D3, … rise like gentle rolling hills towards the horizon. Jutting out of this mathematical landscape are the jagged peaks of the exceptional groups G2, F4, E6, E7 and, towering above them all, E8. E8 is an extraordinarily complicated group: it is the symmetries of a particular 57-dimensional object, and E8 itself is 248-dimensional!

To describe the new result requires one more level of abstraction. The ways that E8 manifests itself as a symmetry group are called representations. The goal is to describe all the possible representations of E8. These representations are extremely complicated, but mathematicians describe them in terms of basic building blocks. The new result is a complete list of these building blocks for the representations of E8, and a precise description of the relationships between them, all encoded in a matrix with 205,263,363,600 entries.

  9. To A from Jerusalem, what do you mean that mapping the E8 group is infinitely superior to mapping the human genome? As a biologist I can tell you that mapping the genome also took about 10 years or so while going over 3 billion (!) base pairs in the genome. On behalf of the geneticist of the world, I was offended... 🙂

  10. However, what is interesting about these groups, is not the actual correspondence to physical models, but the question of why the correspondence exists at the basic level

  11. Li clusters have been used by physics in all its aspects for the last hundred years
Conservation laws, Lorentz transformations, relativity and of course the standard model U1*SU2*SU3
Quantum chromodynamics and of course also string theory.
The E8 cluster, one of the exceptions of the finite Li Hai clusters, was mapped only recently by a group of mathematicians, about 20 people, I think, who worked on the mapping for about 10 years.
The size of the mapping exceeds immeasurably the size of the mapping of the entire human genome.

  12. To the cool commenter:
For this there is a concept called: "carrying wave".
    The excellent.
Except of course, exceptions here and there.
A type, like me, does not always control the intelligence that carries it.

  13. I didn't understand the theory in a dime. I also didn't understand what he was trying to find.

Or in short - I didn't understand. point.

  14. The funniest thing would be if the doctor of physics, known as the surfer, would come to insights about waves while surfing, like elementary particles surf on their wave function and may fall off it

  15. Perhaps the same scientists who call him "the surfer" also say this with a hint of envy. Secretly they would also prefer to be tanned hunks surfing the waves.

    good week

  16. To (.) If you already mentioned the Star of David, why not expand visibility to the octagon, or Meshomin, in Hebrew, the circumnavigation?
But, that is not the point, and not only there are the calculations.
Take care of yourself, dotted.. there are many more dots.. dotted.. in the logistic and logical spaces.

  17. People like to read the unusual. This is what attracts the eye, and the result is that it is also what journalists emphasize. It's certainly not an optimal situation, but that's the way it is with humans.

  18. It stings my eye that they usually add the "degree" "surfer" to his profession (theoretician). Why not mention the hobbies of all theoreticians in the articles?
He has a hobby that is seemingly unconventional in relation to his job (?) so he is pushed at every opportunity?
    bothers me…

  19. The knowledge of this comes from early mathematical calculations...but, as I said, everything in its time.

  20. Michael,
I didn't go through the links you provided, but Dr. Garnet Lees should be given the chance to join
To all of us, you are the puzzle...and indeed, I too am looking forward to the discovery of the elements and particles, which has not yet arrived, the time has come
To be revealed..and Ototo..it's on its way.
