The Perseid rain met expectations

Extremely dark skies and good visibility conditions made it possible to enjoy the Perseid shower that peaked on the night between Monday and Tuesday, August 12 and 13. Around peak time, the rate of meteors reached more than 75 per hour, with some meteors being particularly bright and leaving long trails. A special study was conducted from Tel Aviv University's Mitzpe Ramon Observatory with the participation of many observers who used sophisticated equipment to track the meteors.
