On Wednesday, April 15, 2009, Iran's first cloned goat was born at the Royan Institute in Ispan. The cloned goat is different from other goats, it was born brown-white in color after being in its mother's womb for 147 days. Haza is a female and her name is "Hana".

This is not Iran's first cloning, as early as September 30, 2006, Royan Institute scientists cloned a sheep. It was the first cloning carried out in the Middle East. More than two years after the cloning, the sheep still lives today at the institute and is treated by the researchers.

Beyond the political prestige and scientific ability, cloning gives a lot of knowledge in the development of new drugs. The effort is part of the Iranian ambition to become a regional power in the field of science and technology by the year 2025. This while emphasizing 3 key areas: medicine, space and nuclear technology.

It is true that Iran's nuclear development is controversial in the international community since the Western countries claim that this development is intended for military needs that will be expressed in the construction of an atomic bomb, but Iran denies these claims and says that the development is intended to generate electricity. The development in the field of space also arouses suspicion that its purpose is to increase the range of the Iranian missiles.

Iranian development in the medical field has not received the exposure it deserves. Iran is at the forefront of animal cloning. The list of countries that have succeeded in breeding goats is very limited and Iran is on it along with the USA, Great Britain, Canada and China. This is also reflected in governmental support from the religious leadership which gave its support to animal cloning (but not human cloning).

The purpose of these studies is to develop advanced technology for the production of medicines.

  1. Well, what's next? To a tribe of terrorists? You are aware that the more Arab countries are technologically developed, this can only harm Israel, yes?

  2. After hundreds of generations in which the Persian shepherds tried to get their goats pregnant, in a natural way, they realized that no matter how much the shepherd fucks his sheep, she will not get pregnant, so they resorted to cloning.

  3. Well, after they managed to clone a monkey (Ahmedinjaad) it must be quite easy to clone a goat...

  4. To the writer, Rami,
You could show a little more patriotism and write the truth about Iran..
Every paragraph: "Indeed the development ... the Iranian missiles." – on face X:
After all, it is no longer possible to count on the fingers the number of times Iran has threatened to destroy us

  5. She is as ugly as Ahmedingad

And it just proves how unfortunate it is that a quality part of the culture will suffer because of the less quality part Nomer (idiots with problematic brain chrome).
I call on all Iranians to get rid of their current government, the persecutor of wars, which if he continues like this, will eventually bring them to their deaths.
If there is an Iranian who reads Zoot, think for a second why should you pay for the mistake of others

  6. Recommendation for further research:
Improvement of a suicidal goat breed and its production in a factory.
Think of whole divisions of suicidal goats ready for the day of command.

  7. A positive phenomenon. Science connects and bridges countries and people. Information and science are a strong key to normalizing and improving the quality of life - which will automatically reduce the need to use other methodologies such as religion in order to give hope and anticipation for the future.

What I'm not so sure about is how complicated it is to clan today. It is true that few countries have done it, but I don't know why anyone would want to continue cloning all kinds of animals if they already did it over ten years ago. This is old technology - but it is a sign of progress and not freezing on yeast.

    Best regards,
    Ami Bachar
