The managers of the STS-120 mission of the space shuttle Discovery decided to postpone the spacewalk by one day and instead of today (Thursday) it will take place tomorrow, Friday. In this spacewalk, work was mainly planned on the bearing system of the adjustable solar collectors, however, those responsible for the space station at NASA decided to try to repair the damage to the P6-4B collector, one of whose wings was damaged during its re-retirement after moving the entire component from one place on the station to another place, during the spacewalk on Friday. Even the postponement of the spacewalk during the day, NASA still retains the possibility of adding another spacewalk to repair the solar collector, in mission STS-120 if this is required.

The Discovery astronauts and members of the space station's 16th crew continued to shuttle supplies between the shuttle and the station. They took a break on Wednesday to participate in the traditional joint press conference for shuttle and station crews, when they answered questions from reporters from the US, Italy and Russia.

Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli and shuttle commander Pam Melroy spoke with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano. The astronauts answered the Italian leader's questions from the harmonic component, which was funded by the US but was built in Italy and brought to the space station by the STS-120 mission, and as I recall was installed at the beginning of the week, during the first and second spacewalks.
