The "Storm Stele" is a memorial stone that was erected by Pharaoh Yahamas (Amosis) the first about 3,500 years ago. The stone is made of calcite (hard limestone) and is approximately 1.80 meters high. It was discovered in Egypt decades ago.

The memorial stone describes a fierce storm and the damage it caused in ancient Egypt. For years, researchers thought that the storm was an image of attacks by foreign rulers and not a true record of weather events. And here, according to a new translation published by researchers from the Institute for Oriental Studies at the University of Chicago, United States, of the inscription on the memorial stone, it is an actual description of unusual weather events that occurred in Egypt at that time: heavy rains that caused heavy damage to buildings, and a black sky that makes noise without stopping with a "thunderous sound" More than the voice of a lot of people."

The researchers attribute these unusual events to a volcanic eruption that occurred on the Greek island of Thera (today's Santorini). If indeed the "Storm Stele" describes unusual weather events, it could help researchers to accurately describe the pharaoh dynasties in ancient Egypt as well as to accurately time events that took place in the Middle East at that time, such as the decline of the power of the Canaanites and the collapse of the Babylonian Empire in the face of the Hittite invasions.

  1. Please note the pharaoh's hat. Very reminiscent of a Cardinals hat. Has the Catholic Church adopted the hat for its needs?

  2. Miracles,
It makes much more sense to argue that everything you see around you is a coincidence - from the subatomic level to the human brain.
Every time this argument reminds me of the arguments of the entrance in the Middle Ages 🙂
Hopefully one day we will really understand the reality.

  3. Moses
Did the Torah inflate the numbers? Hmmmmmmmmm … so maybe instead of 600,000 men there were maybe only 2? Instead of 10 strikes there was just a little rain?
interesting …. I never thought that what is written in the Torah is inflated. You want to tell me that the creation story is... just a story?

  4. The exodus from Egypt as it appears in the Bible took place 3500 years ago (in a very rough calculation: 500 years the period of the judges, 500 first house, 500 second house, 2000 dunghills)
The insistence on the number of Israelites who left Egypt at that time is not relevant to the discussion of whether or not there was an exodus from Egypt.
It is very possible that the numbers were inflated afterwards - but this is undoubtedly supporting evidence that something very similar to what is told in the Bible did happen.
Regarding the pedantry of the Egyptians - they were pedantic in mentioning their victories, not their losses.

There was no Exodus. I explained to you how to know that. You can believe the stories of the Torah if you insist - but the article here is certainly not related to the "Exodus from Egypt".

Again - there is no documentation for the sudden departure of 40% of Egyptian residents. There is no record of the migration of 2 million people over 40 years in the Sinai desert.

    I'm sorry.

  6. There was no Exodus. There is no evidence of this. The Egyptians are the hiqs of old and recorded every grain of wheat. They did not record anywhere that 2 million people left, when the population of Egypt was 3.5 million.
See the known facts in the book Exodus by Carol Meyers.

Those who think otherwise - please bring evidence. The Torah book is not historical evidence.

  7. Of course the Exodus from Egypt was 3500 years ago.. you will learn.. according to the sources it was about 2400 AD.. today we are in 5774 - it turns out that this is roughly the same as that period about 3500 years ago

  8. The Exodus was not 3500 years ago, but almost 2500 years ago (if it happened). Even so, there are contradictions in the versions in the Bible itself, with a difference of about 200+ years.
So please, don't throw statements into the air before examining the issue.
    Good and quiet day.

  9. A discovery of enormous significance: this is one of the evidences confirming the exodus from Egypt!
After all, during the time of Yahames, a volcanic eruption took place on the island of Santorini, which caused extreme climate changes in the Mediterranean basin, including darkness, extreme cooling, tsunami waves, and the like, which are recorded both in the Egyptian sources and the parallels to the plagues of Egypt (from Wikipedia).
