MLM is the creator of defense systems for the state's skies for the development and launch of satellites in the State of Israel
The MLM plant of the Aerospace Industry was chosen by the Israeli Standards Institute as the leading plant in the defense industry in Israel, "in setting quality management standards as a basis for improving the corporate culture." The certificate of quality and excellence was awarded to the factory manager Uri Sinai, in a ceremony held not long ago at Bar Ilan University.
In the evaluation letter, it was emphasized that the MLM plant is a pioneer in implementing quality standards, and has the largest number of certificates and authorizations for management systems. MLM is the creator of defense systems for the state's skies for the development and launching of satellites in the State of Israel and a significant global factor in these issues, in the world and in Israel in IT systems, command and control systems and a major global factor in air and field training systems.
MLM Director Uri Sinai said that the plant is showing business and technological innovation in increasing the scope of activity by maximizing the potential inherent in the systems in the products and the capabilities of the plant's employees and in increasing the scope of the plant's profitability by improving competitiveness.
So far the plant has won:
- Four Israel Security Awards for various activities and projects
- 2003 National Safety Award.
- Winning the National Award for Quality in Industry for 2004.
- MLM is the first in Israel to successfully pass the CMMI Level 5 test as early as 2005, in all categories, and is currently in the midst of the certification renewal process that is required once every three years.
- The factory has been tested and certified to the quality standard - 9001:2000 ISO and its derivative for aviation matters AS9100.
- The factory has been certified to the SI HOSAS 18001 safety and environmental standards, ISO14001:2004, and the TI 4251 transportation safety standard.
- Since 2005, the factory has held the platinum label of the Standards Institute, which is awarded to companies that have been documented to six management standards or higher.
- The plant is among the few plants in Israel that has been documented to more than six management standards of the Standards Institute, international standardization organizations.
- At the beginning of 2008, the plant's MLM began to implement the new traffic safety management standard, TR 9301, to which it was successfully documented on 13.03.2008. MLM is the first organization in Israel to be documented according to this standard.
- In May 2008, the plant was selected for the 20000 IT standard for managing computing infrastructures, and providing support services for the entire computing system. The plant was certified to this standard on 21.05.2008. First in Israel in both categories, development and service.
- The factory has recently started activities towards the certification of the standard for social responsibility, TI 10000, which is planned during the month of October 2008.
